as the sun goes down am stations turn their satelites (or that’s what they did 15 years ago)so it doesn’t mess up fm frequency (i think that’s why). You probably can pick up 1110wbt out of charlotte when the sun goes down. I pick up the savage nation out of wor in Ny. it’s all crazy.

I was in the Boston area during the big power blackout of 1964. I left work and the only radio station I was getting was way up in Canada. That was weird — I began to wonder if the Russkies hadn’t attacked.

AM signals don’t interfere with FM signals. They use different types of carrier waves.
