The polls close in ten minutes. Hopefully Georgia has held the line today. Poll traffic was reported as steady here Northeast Atlanta today...
Goes to show in an honest election the GOP still carries the day... especially when people actually understand what is at stake.
Starting with Kathleen Parker who has totally jumped the shark.
I wasn’t very happy in the general election until Sarah came aboard and must say I am very happy she is flying solo now.
There were arrogant people for certain. Mostly centered in Washington D.C. who screwed the people who got them there over and over again and frankly I’m sick of people like you that blame the VOTERS for kicking the scum out. You’d rather conservatives have no principles like those that serve us in D.C.? Good. Then we can all be like Liberals then. ‘Cause liberals don’t give a damn what their representatives do, they vote for them no matter what.
And for your information this conservative bit the bullet and voted that ticket despite hating that loser at the top end and it made me sick to do it. I have NO issue with anyone who didn’t do it and even admire them for it. But what I didn’t do was work on his behalf, give money though I almost did just cause of Palin, and I never told anyone anything but the truth of what McCain represented. Most of the time that wasn’t a positive report. I didn’t give Obama glowing reviews either, but you bet his supporters did and that made a difference. But I wasn’t going to lie on behalf of that RINO.
next time try blaming the people who really have owned responsibility for this mess. The Republicans themselves including the Maverick primary voters stupidly made the heir for ‘08.
I heard that on Cavuto this afternoon; Sanford was on.
Parker can go take a flying leap now! I think we should boycott ever posting her articles again!
I grew up in Clayton county which is just south of Atlanta. During the 80s it was a a nice safe suburban county that gave over 75% of the vote to Reagan in both elections. It just recently voted 75% for the messiah. It only took 10 years to totally flip the demographics there. Really sad when I return to visit that area from down here in Florida.
Over at Hot Air a great posting from bullseye: comparing Saxby’s victory (with Sarah’s aid) to the Doolittle attack on Japan. “It wasn’t a major tactical victory but it did break the myth of Japanese invincibility.”
Same here. I think, in the end, McCain was jealous of her... and that is why he didn’t call his men to task. It also has not gone unnoticed by me eagle eye that Steve Schmidt is desperately talking up Jindal.
Just had to say that Sarah is such a drag on the party she helped this guy win by a huge amount, which is the only way we can win with voter fraud, by huge amounts. Sarah drew big crowds for him, but of course some FReepers were bitching that she should stay in Alaska, what a**hats. Here’s to 2012 with Sarah at the wheel, one can only hope!
My Dad's family, way back in the late 1600s, came from what is current Georgia before moving to what later became Alabama.
My Dad then moved to Texas during WW II before shipping out to the Pacific.
WAY TO GO GEORGIA!
Schmidt is about anyone by Sarah but he is going to be the loser IMO! Crickets from McCain so I am back to my original opinion of him, Huckabee, Romney, Bush, Rove, etc.
In 2002, Dems were elected Governors in OK and AZ thanks to third party candidates.
I like the GA run-off rule. It minimizes the impact of 3rd parties and could prevent messy recount battles.
I voted for the ticket and I DO hold the people who did not and claim to be conservative or Republican for what is about to befall this country, starting with Obama passing the FOCA... if people are so unhappy about what their senators, congressmen, etc., are doing then damnit get off their rears and replace them — in the primaries... like they just did this year (finally) in Utah for Cannon’s seat... and if you don’t want to end up with media darlings like McCain for our candidate then push the RNC to change our primary system so it cannot happen again...
to be fair, though, that third party certainly came in handy in FL in 2000. If not for Ralph, the dems may well just have won their 5th straight election
I will be glad to second that! She is the breath of fresh air the GOP needs.
Cool! I’ll go check it out.
I’ve read the same type of posts on other sites that do not want her under any circumstances... screw those people is my attitude... with McCain and his stoolies out of the way she can do what her best instincts tell her to do.
Couldn't agree more.
I agree with what they did in GA... and I have to tell you as a citizen of AZ I am thrilled for my state that we are going to be rid of the governor from hell.
