" “...McDonald is leading Powell...” What sorta race is that? Another Larry McDonald I hope. Could you give a synopsis of that race and what is at stake? " McDonald is a conservative running for the Public Service Commissioner office here in GA. As I said this bit of news was for the GA FReepers. His opponent Jim Powell was endorsed by the Sierra Club.

And for that, blame the Bush, McCain, Rove amnesty bill, and the McCain vote for the horrendous $700 billion bailout. Rove should blame himself and his master Bush, for 5 million Republicans staying home.

Adding to that, I would blame the Republican voters who stayed home, too.

further proves that when the going gets tough Obama cannot handle it”

Comrade Obama votes “present” again, when tough decisions need to be made.
So what's new? He voted “present’ over 100 times in Chicago.
What a pathetic creep.

I particularly liked that Sarah drew thousands in Georgia this week and the reports I read stated Romney had maybe a hundred people show up -— oh, and did Bobby Jindal show to campaign for Chambliss??? after all the media as well as the GOP governors are all claiming he is our next Messiah.

Not to start a thread war or anything but whenever I see who is to blame, I don’t see anything about those that voted for you know who in the primary, to stop Hilary.

More important, to me, was people turned out in droves to see Palin with Chambliss... so much for the nay-sayers that she doesn’t have coattails... now if she campaigns in 2010 for candidates and they do well it should be a huge boost for her, should she decide to run in 2012 vs 2016.

Shows the voters of GA know who is the person to bring Republicans back — it is Sarah. Romney will never get a foothold in most of the Red States and anyone can take it to the bank.

Romney couldn’t buy his way to the nomination with a weak field and with Sarah in the mix, she would win hands down against Romney. Grassroots would be out in large numbers.

"I believe buyer’s remorse over Obama is already setting in."

Too late. Obama is CIC. Not mine though. He is not my POTUS and I will give him the same welcoming the democrats and all or nothing conservatives gave Bush.

When we have an attack on this soil by al Qaeda under Obama, and we will, those idiots, yes idiots that voted third party or for Obama, will own that catastrophe. IMO there is no forgiving third party or Obama voters EVER.

Looking at the SOS site, it seems clear that the black turnout was weak. See results for Chatham County.
But to my point: I have lived in DeKalb County for decades. For years, it was the best county in Georgia in terms of roads, schools, health care, and other basic infrastructure. I can remember when DeKalb was business-friendly.
No more.
Cobb and Gwinnett Counties (and one or two others in the larger metro area) have eclipsed DeKalb in every desirable category.
These days one may only take solace in the fact that DeKalb is not number one in corruption. Fulton, because of Atlanta, takes that honor. We are fighting with Chatham County for second place.
I like my house, neighborhood, and my memories.
But...
I now live behind enemy lines.

Bump to that! I thought the campaign to crossover to vote in the Dem primary to stop Hillary was dumb, stupid, idiotic and IMHO helped give us ZERO! I don’t want Dems voting in our primary so why would I want to vote in theirs.

I have already told people that I will give Obama the same respect that the Democrats gave President Bush. They didn’t consider Bush their President and I don’t consider Obama mine. He will have to prove himself to me, if he does something right, I will applaud him for it, if he does something that I believe is harmful to the country, I will be the first one to protest it. Obama did NOT get my vote, so he has to prove himself to me. I believe Obama is a fraud and a marxist, he will have to prove otherwise to me

Got a 16 point win and over 300,000 vote margin right now with only 7% outstanding.

Great win for Chambliss, great win for the US Senate...and most important, IMHO, a HUGE win for Sarah Palin.

I’m up in Dunwoody. At some level, our referendum on cityhood was a referendum on Vernon Jones and the downward spiral of DeKalb County government. As you know, it wasn’t even close, and we’ve been a city for almost 2 days now!
