Obama Birth Certificate Rears Its Head - Again

The election may be over, but not the controversy.

Just when you thought the flap over the genuineness of Barack Obama's birth certificate was all said and done, in comes the We The People Foundation.

The group purchases a full-page ad in The Chicago Tribune - the newspaper of the president-elect's hometown - today and Wednesday, called "Open Letter to Mr. Obama." It's described by the foundation as a "formal Petition for a Redress (Remedy) for the alleged violation of the 'natural born citizen' clause of the Constitution of the United States of America."

"Mr. Obama is respectfully requested to direct the Hawaiian officials to provide access to his original birth certificate on December 5-7 by our team of forensic scientists, and to provide additional documentary evidence establishing his citizenship status prior to our Washington, D.C. press conference on December 8," the foundation says. PolitiFact has said it has no reason to doubt the authenticity of the document.

Among other complaints, the foundation charges:

Is this the reason for the facial *TIC*?

From WND:

A facial tic is a repetitive, spasmodic movement often involving the eyes and facial muscles. The cause of tics is unknown, but stress appears to increase their severity.

"The patients I've treated with tic disorders had one thing in common: They knew that the tics worsened when they were under stress," said Dr. Robert T. London, a psychiatrist with the New York University Medical Center.

Besides the economic crisis, Obama is having to worry about his own security. The Secret Service reportedly is dealing with more threats against him than any other president-elect in history.

"There are a lot of things that keep me up at night," Obama, 47, confided in the ABC interview.

That bolded part says a lot.

Hey, guess what, genius - this is a conservative political activist forum. It was set up precisely for people to get motivated and involved in the political process. Unfortunately, we quite often get inundated with people, such as yourself, who think that this is some milquetoast chat room for discussing "Desperate Housewives" and "Dancing with the Stars" while curling our hair and eating pudding.

What's worse is that you claim to have no political views on the subject, but you fail to realize that your insistence that this BC thing is a waste of time IS a political view, as you are implying that failure to conform to the Constitution doesn't matter, which is the same as saying the Constitution, itself, doesn't matter. In addition, you actually felt motivated enough to post about how much you don't care. A lot of people on this site may be a little extreme in the views they express, but people like you are extreme in your apathy. I have no doubt that you would preach inaction and apathy even if we uncovered proof that Obama was Satan, himself.

You think your apathy is a badge of honor, but I actually feel sorry for people who believe in nothing enough to consider it worth defending. Their lives must be very empty.

What about doing a FOIA inquiry into customs records before and after the birth date. If his mother cleared customs after his birth date and is listed as accompanied by dependent child, then explain how that flys BHO.

"We’ve elected too many whimps over the years who have allowed the constitution to become irrelevent."

That's the crux of the matter as I see it.

Regardless of the outcome of the case the USSC should make sure that candidates prove citizenship before running for office.

That's not their job. Congress should specify which agency is responsible for checking credentials and how that needs to be done. Not holding my breath waiting for that to happen, though.

Flash to bang, yet again! One thing I do question is the motives behind those desperate enough to chase the certificate. Desperate, desperate individuals claiming constitutional rights, etc, but in truth simply can’t abide that they lost the election or that the wrong candidate was leading their party.

Ask yourself why didn’t McCain, Palin or even Bush bring up the issue and run with it to deliver the sucker punch to Obama? Berg is a crackpot and far too many are desperately hoping that he is going to pull a magic bunny out of a hat to bring down Obama. Some of you guys are even blaming the mainstream media! It is time to simply stop flogging a dead horse.

Presidents don’t “rule”, and 0bama wasn’t “destined” to be anything other than a Marxist agitator.

Here's a clue: stop trolling for reactions and you'll stop getting flamed. All you have been doing is dropping in to say how silly everyone is for wanting Obama to prove he is eligible, but you offer no reasonable arguments. That is the very definition of a troll. I hope you are having a good time.

As for McCain, Bush, etc. Why haven't they pushed the Obama BC issue? Hell, I don't know. Why are they for amnesty? Why did they not push the Democrat ties to the real estate meltdown? Why do McCain and Bush seem to agree with everything the Democrats ever say? I don't have any idea, but I'm willing to believe it is either a) because they are liberals, or b) because they are people like you who think that addressing Constitutional issues is silly, mean, and partisan.

Once Obama plunks down the $15 dollars to get a certified copy of his birth certificate, and shows it to a reliable public official, then the "horse" will be dead. Calling it a dead horse before Obama has made even the most minimal effort to establish his eligibility is just silly, and shows a child-like ignorance of the situation. After all, when his eligibility was questioned, McCain showed his birth certificate to Congress. It is only fair to expect Obama to do the same thing.
