“The team is considering placing Burress on the non-football injury reserved list, which would make him ineligible for the remainder of the season, sources said. It also would allow the Giants to recover some money already paid to Burress.
Additionally, a source told Mortensen that Burress has as much as $4.5 million tied to play-time incentives and active-roster status.”

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHA! Dumb @$$!

OK. The problem is that Burris was found to be in posession of the gun after he was injured. Correct? Well - What about the amnesty policy regarding illegal aliens, in which they are immune from prosecution when they see a doctor, testify in court, etc. Why would the same principle not apply here?

Odd as it is, I encountered Plaxico in some of my readings of ancient history (or at least a name VERY similar.)

I’ve long said that American blacks are the keepers of the names of the Ancient World, probably because masters were demonstrating their love for the classics by naming their slaves after names they had encountered.

Well, OK, there is that.

But Marcus, Demetrius, Cassius, Fabian, etc etc etc all show that kind of historical pattern.

I understand that when Chevron merged with Texaco in 2001, Plexico was on the short list of names for the new corporate entity...

Criminal possession of a weapon? Is there such a charge that is constitutional? Or is the charge criminal in possession of a weapon?

ESPN as well.

Right now, NFL network “analysts” are ragging on carrying a gun. Not just Plaxico but anybody.

Possession outside the home is still illegal after the Heller v Washington DC ruling.
Further, the state has a strict CCW law. Further the city has a strict CCW law.
Further, discharge inside city limits.
Further, the location had a liquor license.
Further, unlawful transport of a firearm inside the state of NY, inside the state of NJ, and across state lines.
Further, Burress and accomplices tried to cover up the crime after the weapon was discharged.
Further, Burress lied in his police interview about the discharge, the weapon possession, and the entire event.

Buress is looking at a minimum 5 year jail sentence if convicted in a NY court.
Probability that Pierce is dragged into this and charged as an accessory or accomplice is looking more likely as info is leaked.
