A minor blip on Jindal's record. Remember, Ronald Reagan lost a race against Gerald Ford. These things happen and good politicians bounce back from them.

Here’s the problem: Provided you reigned the fed back to the constitutional limits as you see them (which I’m not saying are 100% accurate), what’s to keep a subsequent amendment from granting the fed powers you took back, if the demand was there? Sorry, but I think if you cut off the gravy train, it would find it’s way back via an amendment.

Your reading of the constitution is in error. All legal documents are LIFO documents. That is last in, first out. More simply put, subsequent additions take precedence over earlier articals and amendments.

The 14th Amendment, being subsequent to Artical II, then becomes the law of the land, as it supercedes Article II.

This is just my opinion...but the reason is they have the misconception that GOP discriminates against blacks.
They see GOP conventions is overwhelmingly white faces.

But, they forget Lincoln was republican. They overlook that without GOP legislators the civil right act would have never passed.

Then there are the Jesse Jackson’s and Al Sharptons who make a good living at exploiting fear in the black community.

Sorry this is a mistake. Everyone born in the US regardless of their parents are natural born citizens. Any child of illegal aliens born in the US has the right to become president.

I should have checked before I replied to her. It's not a mistake, she's spouting V-dares radical interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, which has been aped by several anti-immigration groups. It's nonsense. Best ignored as any constitutional challenge to Jindal would be laughed out of court.

You've brought up a good concern. However, I would rather live by honest interpretations of the Constitution as opposed to being a slave to politically correct interpretations of the Constitution by minority factions.

Two cases will be conferenced Friday by SCOTUS - Berg’s and Donofrio’s. A third is knockin’ on the door - Wrotnowski’s (from Connecticut. Justice Ginsburg turned him down and the case is now going to Justice Scalia). Fourteen more cases are wending their way towards Washington, D.C.

It appears we may, and I say MAY, finally have a definative explanation for what exactly constitutes a “natural born” citizen.

And being a natural born citizen myself and definitely NOT anti-immigration, there is nothing wrong with loving one’s country and being pro-U.S.Constitution. Without the law, and adherence thereof, we’re toast as a nation. So, legal immigration - yes. Support for an invasion of foreign nationals/illegal aliens - hell no!

Your argument would have more power, be more persuasive, if it is laced with logic rather than insults.

It's unfortunate, but I think that it is fair to say that the libs in the MSM holds great sway over what the GOP can do. Let's face it, it's free advertising for whomever they want to prop up in the primaries; straw men, trojan horses and faux candidates. The press will continue to smear Palin and they can continue to simply ignore Hunter. I'm doubtful that either could become president.

Things may change after a few years of Obie. Maybe the voters will come home to roost. Things being what they are I see the media pumping Huck and Romney to make things tougher than they already are for Palin and Jindal.

I love Governor Palin, but I think Jindal can more easily maneuver around the press. I guess it would be weird and taboo to have her run for veep again, but who knows?

I like Sanford and Thune, as well.

Dealing with Putin and walking a media tightrope are two different things. I would be confident with Governor Palin or Governor Jindal in dealing with Putin.
