Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

Yeah, I was just posting on another thread about the Islamist piracy problem — another area where the world (i.e., USA and allies) needs to take notice and exterminate the vermin before the problem grows much, much larger. They are collecting tens of millions of dollars from piracy - before long it will be a lot more unless we stamp out the pirate nests and dens along the Somali coast. We need to make the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden no-go areas for pirates — establish limited shipping lanes for legitimate vessels so that they can be more readily monitored and protected. Then sink every #%@%@%# pirate boat that can be identified, trace their points of origin, etc. I know it’s all “easier said than done” but it seems like the world (i.e., USA and key allies) had better take the problem more seriously before it grows and grows.
Heard something disturbing...the bad guys set up a CP in the Taj, and I heard they were not of the usual “spray and pray” variety of terrs...and they brought food and plenty of ammo...They planned for this. The more I hear..the more I am convinced ISI and Al-Q had something to do with this.

The scale of one operation is new but a lot of people don’t realize that over 2,500 Indians were slaughtered in terrorist actions just in the past year — and many more thousands in recent years — so as long as the jihadists confined themselves to one massacre at a time, hardly anyone in the media took notice. It is only b/c they have pulled off a spectacular multi-pronged attack in such a major city that the media gets geared up to show it, but the slaughter has been going on in the thousands of lives for years without much international media interest.

It will be easier that way :)

i heard the same thing re CPs at the hotels. sounds like a number of terrorists were on locale for a little while doing recon and setting up CPs. The rest of the terrorists plus the weapons/ammo came in via speedboat.

Whoa- per Mansoor Ijaz on FOX...the intel and floor plans that the terrorists had was SO precise they must have had people on the inside working in the hotels..

I remember seeing videos of Al -Queda training its fighters- at a training camp .

There are reportedly some 40,000 suicide bombers and terrorist like the Mumbai ones already in place JUST IN AMERICA.
Europe probably has well double or triple that with France and England leading in numbers. AND any number of highly trained “white Al Qaeda” coming in from Kosovo and Albania without much control on passports.
Perhaps Mumbai will be a wake up call to Eurabia to tighten their security even if it means a reduction in their liberal social and political attitudes that were never meant to deal with jihadism, violent or political infiltration of sharia law and Moslem customs as the “norm” or catered to on an equal basis with former national mindsets. Or even given priority over usual national norms.
Eurabia has agreed to allow over 100,000 Iraqis into their countries. Want to bet quite a number of tgerrorists will sneak in this way?

While Obama’s Marxist type of Million Man Civil security Force has keeping him and Communist type government in control now and in the future, it may be a double edge sword and be able to deal with islamic terrorist.
Only of course, if Obama, with his 20-year anti-American Christian indoctrination (DR. Wright) and his own Moslem upbringing, do not turn this civil force on all of us to ENFORCE islamic sharia.
In many ways (except the former does not say there is a deity) Communism and islam are very, very similar in attitudes. The only real difference is that islam demands obedience to a moon god while Communism demands obedience and dependency on the ruling government, with some figurehead like Obama at the helm.

Gangs ruling the streets. Gangs attacking retirements homes in Trollhaettan. Girls being raped. Youngsters being assaulted and robbed.

Think someone using 5 man teams on 9/11 to turn airplanes into lethal missiles to bring us to our knees....now take that UP 100 notches...... and spread that over a city of 13 million or so....with 40 committed shock troops whose only mission was to cause as much havoc as humanly possible before they were taken down.
Now you guard a city against that scenario.

I had the privilege several years ago of an escorted tour of a large, important multi-sided building near a river. The visible security that I passed through (several layers) resembled Officer Friendly.
I asked my guide how close to the building a company-sized force staging from the river could get, and if such a force could get inside.
"That's classified", he said.
The only good thing about this story is that they apparantly had to stage from Pakistan - IOW, they haven't demonstrated power projection, yet.
There are so many soft targets in the US that are accessible from the water.
