Two terrorists, Shadullah and Imran Babar, rang up India TV twice during the siege on Thursday using cellphones of their hostages to place their points of view.

The first call came in the morning from Shadullah who was holed up in Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai. Using Cellphone no. 09769679723 belonging to a Swedish lady named Lisa Ringner from Room No. 1856, Hotel Oberoi, Shadullah rang up India TV’s popular number 93505 93505 and spoke at length about why he and his colleagues carried out the strikes in Mumbai.

The young woman, Lisa Rignér, did stay at the Oberoi Hotel. She and her partner first considered hiding when they heard the shooting, but changed their minds when hotel personnel told them to run for the doorways. They both made it to safety. However, the cell phone number does not fit with her listed number, nor does it appear to be a Swedish cell phone.

The Swedes Lisa Rignér and Lars Näcker rushed out of their hotel and managed to escape from the terrorists.

Looks like we are back to the first story about a fishing ship being used as the terrorist support platform. I find it surprising however that such a well planned attack would rely on a random ship hijacking. Will check in later. Gonna have some Turkey and watch some American football.

It could have been a planned hijacking. They probably had their eye on that boat for awhile. They came by sea this time, not air.

The timing is also suspicious as it coincides with Thanksgiving

Americans are traditionally gathered around televisions on Thanksgiving.

They attempted coordinated attacks in Mombasa, Kenya on Thanksgiving Day in 2002. They car-bombed a Jewish-owned hotel and tried to blow up a 747 belonging to a Jewish airline.
