I will say we have to be careful about battles on issues like Stem Cell research, Terry Shivo, and a federal law banning all abortions. I am not saying that we abandon our principles, or the base of our party conservative Christians, but those ideas must be sold to public to win elections(like partial birth abortion is!). GWB just vetoing stem cell research without a winning PR argument is political death, and makes it easy for press to demonize Palin as representative of what they portray as ‘uneducated christian backward trailer park hicks’. Rush was demonized on Michael J Fox dittocam.
Not fair? Instead of complaining to the choir we need a winning strategy, right now a negative one. GWB, McCain, please go. We are better off with Reid having over 60s seats than having turncoats like Mccain join the democrats.

The problem is that the LIBs love to tie us in knots by trying to legislate society. I realize what you are getting at, but we must stand up and fight some of the tough battles.
I would say that the Terry Shaivo battle was a bit disgusting. Here you had NO written record of Terry's wishes, only hearsay from her ex-husband and you had a family that wished to keep her alive.
Pretty sure the pro-life battle is not for a Federal Ban on all abortions.
And on Stem Cell research, we actually made a winning argument, but right now we have VERY BAD COMMUNICATORS on our side. Why continue to allow embryos to be created for research when much more viable stem cells can be gathered from adults, umbilical cords and bone marrow.
