Elected Officials Score Lower than the General Public
The ISI civic Literacy survey was not designed to test the civic knowledge of elected officials, but it did discover evidence of an interesting pattern that may merit further exploration.
The elected officeholders come from the ranks of Democrats (40%), Republicans (31%), Independents (21%), and those who say they belong to no party or indicate no affiliation (8%).
Are You Smarter Than a Politician? You can find out after you take the above quiz.
“Elected Officials Score Lower than the General Public.”
I would like to see economics education. There is very little. There are widely held erroneous economic conventional wisdoms across all political spectrums. For example: I hear liberals, conservatives and populists all say that when the government raises taxes they are all passed through to the consumer by the business. Simply not the case.
Took the quiz. Missed #27.
Taking the quiz and trying to freep is difficult. *LOL* Almost through though.
Thanks, interesting test.
My score was Server Error. Does that mean I blew them away? :)
96.97%, but then I’m a bit of a nerd. IMHO, Question 33 (the one I missed) was oddly worded.
RWT got most of the questions - The question of Plato he didn't get and the flood control question
