Why are you pinging me to this ridiculous post? Geez, talk about being lost in the past. We are facing the demise of our country as we know it and you are harping about an old post from an old thread regarding an old non-endorsement or whatever. No wonder the libs out game us.

COMPETENT conservatism. Learn it -- live it.

redgirlinabluestate: "Romney is absolutely right."

Myth Romney advocates all sides of issues (such as the auto bailout).
Makes him right some of the time usually.

redgirlinabluestate: "We have a brilliant, competent man
who has the right plan at the right time for all of the right reasons,
yet you feel the need to lie about him endlessly. Sad."

Your Master is not competent. Certainly not brilliant. Closer to a a failure and
during a real crisis no one should take the "advice" of a failed ex-GovernorRomney
who --when Massachusetts' economy was roaring--, busted it,
and got a "C"-rating from the Cato Institute.
And that was even before Romney's fascist socialist RomneyCARE was installed.

Romney also betrayed President Bush. Here are the facts.

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal.

If it was IRRELEVANT, then why did you bring it up?

I was answering your question.

You were the one who said that Fox deleted something when they didn’t.

Nobody is saying that Romney is opposed to a bailout. Romney, has discovered the “brilliant plan” of allowing the Big 3 to file bankruptcy that 3/4 of the country is advocating. That’s not the issue.

The issue on this thread is that Romney advocated that the “transplants” be made to “share the cost” that poor management and Union contracts have imposed on Detroit. Sort of like Obama’s plan for Joe the Plumber applied to corporations.

What a rant! BTW, I supported Hunter though I also liked Thompson. This doesn’t prevent me from recognizing the crude lies and slander direct at Romney.

Endorsement is the wrong word. After Thompson was gone, Rush was pushing Romney over the remaining candidates.

And Rush did call Romney a conservative.

Of course, Rush Limbaugh is just a guy, and if he had spent all of 2007 and 2008 calling Romney conservative, it wouldn’t prove anything.

But to call someone a liar because they used the word “endorsement” when it was simply “support” is typical of the harsh treatment the anti-Romney people have employed on FR.

Flashback #1:

CharlesWayneCT:"Romney never was caught with a fake LEO badge, nor was any evidence
shown that he was involved in the attacks on Palin or the previous attacks he was falsely accused of..
"

Romney aide’s bogus badges: Sources detail ‘illegal’ security tactic

" Boston Herald - Friday, July 20, 2007
In an apparent violation of the law, a controverisal aide to ex-Gov. Mitt Romney
created phony law enforcement badges that he and other staffers used on the campaign trail

to strong-arm reporters, avoid paying tolls and trick security guards
into giving them immediate access to campaign venues, sources told the Herald.
They (the aides) knew the badges were fake and probably illegal,”
said a presidential campaign source who asked for anonymity
because the story could damage the individual’s career.
Two additional sources confirmed that the badges - described as bright silver plates with a state seal attached -
were first created and used by Garrity while Romney was still governor."

Romney aide takes leave after accusations

"BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- An ever-present aide to Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney
took a leave of absence Friday after he became the subject of investigations
in two states for allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer. ...

Jay Garrity, who serves as director of operations and is
constantly at the side of the former Massachusetts governor,
is accused of .... identifying himself as "Trooper Garrity" of the Massachusetts State Police..

Meanwhile, Garrity also has been accused of telling a New York Times reporter ....
that he had run the license plate of the reporter's rental car...
New Hampshire law prohibits citizens from accessing the state's license plate database. "

Romney Staff Involved In 2 Investigations

"A Romney campaign aide is also under investigation by police in Massachusetts for allegedly impersonating a state trooper..."

Flashback #2:

"There can’t be a URL, because the NRA did not endorse Romney for governor."
CharlesWayneCT

Romney said: "I also was pleased to have the support of the NRA when I ran for governor."

And Romney said: "I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA."

The truth:

Romney: "“That’s not going to make me the hero of the NRA
Boston Herald (1994)

Romney: " “I don’t line up with the NRA.

Yeah, everytime Romney comes on TV, I Grab a pen and paper just in case he says something stupid

If you want to use something he says on TV against him, you had better have proof that he actually said it.

Otherwise, given your history of lying about him, no one is inclined to believe you.

The issue on this thread is that Romney advocated that the “transplants” be made to “share the cost” that poor management and Union contracts have imposed on Detroit.

The only trouble is, no one has been able to document that he actually said it.

Until you or someone else can produce such documentation, given your history of Romney Derangement Syndrome, most people will conclude that you imagined it.

So as said, before, post the entire transcript including the words NavVet and others discussed.

A sane person requires proof of an accusation before beleiving it.

Apparently, people suffering from Romney Derangement Syndrome will believe any accusation they hear about Mitt and demand proof of those who question its veracity.

Hang in there, NavVet. So far, the only ones lying are
the RomneyBOTs and MIT’s Course XV nutty economist who
here pretends to make medical diagnoses.

Here is one for him. curiosity, and a few of the
RomneyBOTs are sociopathic and very quick to ‘rebut’
criticism with knowingly false allegations of ‘lying’
and ‘antiMormonism’. Even as others incredibly continue
to attack Gov.Palin’s children. The fact that curiosity
defends failed economic policies makes one lose heart
for the credibility in the ‘infinite corridor’.

Another Romneybot screaming “liar” like Keith Olberman. Gee what a shock.

Name one lie I’ve ever said about your precious RINO. That he’s pro abortion- Check You Tube, That he’s pro homosexual agenda check you tube. That he trashed Ronald Reaga - Check You Tube, That he signed off on a socialized medicine system for Mass. Check Google.

Other posters that happen to have TiVo’d Fox and friends have confirmed the comment that is at the heart of this debate. I’m sorry it doesn’t match with your ficticious notion of Romney, but I don’t think even a kool aid drinker like you obviously are, doubts that he really said it.

Other posters have confirmed it, including someone with a TiVO. I’m not going to refrain from commenting on something said on national TV, just because you don’t want anyone to criticize romney.

I could care less whether you believe it or not. I suspect someone could post the video and you would spin it away. You Romneybots are no different than the Obamites when it comes to someone criticizing your messiah.

Maybe you don’t know any better, but the picture of Romney and the badge is not a real picture. Putting a badge on a picture of Romney doesn’t actually mean you caught Romney with a fake badge.

Your second “flashback” is exactly what I’m talking about. Nice of you to prove the point — in that case being that Romney haters made the mistake of confusing “support” with “endorsement” (your second quote being more typical of the inability to understand english enough to get that he was talking about the endorsement of an action Romney took, not “endorsement” for the previous governor’s race.

Endorsement has a specific meaning, but getting confused in an internet comment is hardly grounds for calling someone a liar, especially when you are supposedly talking to friends and allies. It’s beneath decency, and freepers should start standing up to the bullying and name-calling if we want to fix our factionalization and get back to pushing a solid conservative message.

You do nothing to help the cause with your focus on the past.

"Crude lies and slander"? Excuse me? You Romney Ladies cry "It's all lies! Filthy lies!" just like moms do with sons who are little monsters.

Cut and paste one incident of it in MY post. I know you won't -- you Romney Ladies & Friends haven't once honestly countered what you insist are lies, time after time after time. Like Rameumptom, who has never responded to my calling him out on his lies. Not opinions, not judgments, but plain, clear lies.

So I pinged all the Romney Ladies & Friends on this thread. I think it's pertinent if we're talking about the subject of lies and Romney supporters on Free Republic. No, really, please post one line out of my rant that was a lie or slander.

Here's one for you, the only one that could be remotely construed as a "lie" or "slander":

... Romney's RECORD of big-governement politics and repeated betrayal of conservative principles. You are faced with post after post confirming this. Homosexual "rights", which actually is legal confiscation of our indiviudal right as free human beings to discriminate in our personal, business, and employee choices, including the guy who operates your local Boy Scout club, against open homosexuals. If they weren't open, we'd never know.

That's one betrayal that comes to mind. Many have been listed here, and it's no lie nor is it a slander to say that his record reflects a penchant for rolling over and pissing over his head for bigger, more intrusive government in every arena from environmental obstruction to energy and food-producing industries, to the health care decisions of your employees and you -- are all clearly betrayals of conservative principle.

Which is the bigger betrayal -- bigger government or the enabling of vices like abortion and homosexuality on the dime of individuals, groups, and businesses?

But no! NO! It's all crude, crude lies and slander!

Do I give a crap about whether or not Romney is behind attacks or Palin, or that he's buying his way into media? No! I don't care whether those things are lies are not, and neither should you, because they don't have anything to do with the real Romney. His betrayal of conservatism is invisible only to his proud supporters who are creepily quick to attribute to "hate" and religious bigotry my and others' rejection and desire to stomp soundly into the dirt, Mitt Romney.
