I'll have to throw in Gilligan's Island just because I was in love with Mary-Ann. :^)

One of my best memories of my father...he LOVED that show and we always watched it together when I was a little boy. Always looked forward to it and I can still hear the theme song:

Have gun will travel reads the card of a man...
A knight without armor in a savage land...

We are in agreement on Route 66: one of the very best. Also Mannix (theme by Lalo Schifrin) for it's cool changes and great piano solo. Also Room 222 (theme by Jerry Goldsmith). Contains a musical pun in the time signature, which is 4-3-1-2-2-2. Get it? Call me a fool, but I also love the theme to The Love Boat. Melody by Charles Fox, words by Paul Williams, Jack Jones sang it. Dianna Ross rumored to be singing backup.

I can’t believe the way those tools spoke over the 1984 Olympic theme. It reminds me of why I don’t listen to FM radio.

“his fast gun for hire heeds the calling wind,

A soldier of fortune is a man called Paladin.

Paladin, Paladin, where do you roam?”

Simply the best....

How could they omit Phyllis Diller singing “The Pruitts of Southhampton”?

What? No Cannon?!?

Sorry :P

Btw, definitely agree about the Miami Vice theme. I wasn't a fan of the show, but Jan Hammer knocked it out of the park with the theme music.

Loved seeing Rockford File and Night Court get a mention, too. Two of my all-time favorite tv shows, with or without the cool theme music.

To: Revolting cat!

As a symphonic theme I was rather fond of the “Star Trek: Voyager” overture/theme.
