"It was a manifesto to all prisoners, and if I were writing a book like that today, I would dedicate it to 2.1 million people in prison. I think it was a stupid thing to single him out but, I also think that we have created a monster in the prison system."

"Bill Ayers Denies Dedicating Book to RFK’s Killer — But ‘Absolutely’ Regrets Doing."

Ayers (Obama's pick for Homeland Security chief?)-- like John Kerry -- also said:

"Many people don't know that I voted AGAINST Obamba before I voted FOR him."

OR

Ala Bubba:

"I. Did not. Have sex. With that woman. Monica. Lewinsky."

“I think we should abolish prisons”

Maybe not head of Homeland Security: maybe the Justice Department instead?

Hopefully, the state of Illinois will release all their murderers, rapists, and violent prisoners in front of his chic house, just down the street from Obambi.

Now THAT would be justice.

yeah, we’ve created a monster with the prison system, Bill, let’s just leave ‘em all on the streets of Hyde Park. Oops, but so many are already there.

The irony of it all. He got the very “punishment” he advocates for other criminals. Frankly, he should have gotten the electric chair.

...I also think that we have created a monster in the prison system.

Somebody should encourage the director of prisons in Illinois to give a few hundred lifers some furlough time and drop them off in buses in front of Ayers' fancy house in that tony neighborhood where he and Farrakhan and Obama live. One wonders how long it would take for Ayers to press 9-1-1 on his cellphone if that happened...

Ayers should have dedicated all his books to the one person in this country who has the same convictions and conscience that he has: O.J. Simpson.

“I am a good person. I had some very good reasons for murder, rape, terrorism, grand theft, and drugs. Therefore probably every other prisoner convicted of such crimes has equally good reasons. They all should be let go. Everyone just wants a little understanding.” - Bill Ayers

Yes. One of my tenured Criminal Justice professors, a Maoist, (who got his bachelors and masters in prison), was a bank robber who's partner in crime shot and killed a guard. He was supposed to be in prison for life. He got released way early, got his doctorate in Criminology, and became a professor. And that was over 25 years ago.

This stuff has been going on for quite a while. As you say, that kind of personal history seems to have become a prerequisite.

Communists see common criminals as “victims” of the capitalist system.

When Lenin took over the prisons of Russia were emptied.

Then after the crime spree they came up with a two-tiered approach.

Prisoners who spoke or acted against the state got tough sentences and the common criminals got ligher sentences and the opportunity to be the “trustees” of the Soviet prison system.
