Alan Keyes, vice-presidential candidate Wiley S. Drake, and the Chairman of the American Independent Party, Markham Robinson, have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento seeking to bar Secretary of State Debra Bowen from certifying to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger the names of Electors, and from transmitting to each presidential Elector a Certificate of Election, until documentary proof is produced and verified showing that Senator Obama is a "natural born" citizen of the United States, and does not hold citizenship of Indonesia, Kenya or Great Britain.
In addition, they have asked that the court issue a peremptory writ barring Senator Obama's California Electors from signing the Certificate of Vote until such documentary proof is produced and verified.
In response to questions about why the suit was being filed, Ambassador Keyes commented, "I and others are concerned that this issue be properly investigated and decided before Senator Obama takes office. Otherwise there will be a serious doubt as to the legitimacy of his tenure. This doubt would also affect the respect people have for the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. I hope the issue can be quickly clarified so that the new President can take office under no shadow of doubt. This will be good for him and for the nation."

Was he born with the name Barack Hussein Obama II? I don’t think that would be his name on a 1961 Birth Certificate.
Can someone then tell us WHAT the facts are, and WHAT the sources for those facts are?
The only thing the “tin-foil hats” keep screaming are thei conclusions.
How about some of those facts, and the evidence for them. And please, lets not cite more bloggers.

I didn’t say or imply that, and you know it. (Can we TRY and leave the dishonest arguments to the Dims?)
My critique is of the argument (not that Obama needs to be a citizen to be president) - but the raging kookiness behind the continuing fight to prove that he’s not.
I disagree with the those wearing the tin-foils hats, NOT with the Constitution. The two are not the same thing.
I have always liked Alan Keyes. He should have stuck to being a commentator rather than getting into politics, because he just doesn’t seem to have any political instincts. Some people might think that’s good—but you need to get elected before you can accomplish anything, and Keyes has an unfortunate way of turning off his friends and allies and offending the voters. He just can’t put a team together and get along with the people he needs to get along with.
But his ideas are certainly good.

You mean, the first name “Stanley”? Why? It is what it is. So what? Her first name was Stanley, and she went by Ann. Stanley was a family name - I forget which relative... unusual, but not unheard of.
If the “red flag” is that this is a fact with which you are unfamiliar, then...oh, well.... I don’t think a court would care too much about that.
Keyes careens along at about 2400 psi, which made him an awful candidate. He won't lose for lack of energy, and he definitely DOES know the constitution.
Where is the embossed seal? And wouldn’t he be a JR not a II?
Well, the big fact staring us in the face is that the birth certificate has gone on for months, there are numerous reasons, if not rising to absolute proofs, to think that Obama may not be an American citizen, and yet he has refused to cough up decent evidence.
Nor has he provided any other basic records: health records, academic records, college thesis, or anything else.
Also, he has a pretty good record of lying about his past.
So, why is it so unreasonable to demand proof that he is qualified to be president? It was demanded of mcCain, and he provided his birth certificate immediately. Obama refuses. A poor and dubious copy posted on the net is NOT proof of anything.
Keyes let himself be used as a tool to elect Obama in the first place. Oh irony every day you crop up.
its a shame, but its wasting time and energy on nonesense like this, rather than trying to regain conservative control over the GOP, that has gotten us where we are today.
The election’s over already....
We need to start “debrieding” the RINO’s and the so0called “centrists” and “moderates” from the party, and refocus on real conservatism, for the first time in eight or twn years. That’s the way to beat Bambi.

The document shown in the post above has been proven fake. This can all be cleared in an instant, but instead of doing so, Obama has lawered up and fought it at every turn. Why?
Where are his IL senate records, his transcripts and other college records? I wouldn't hire an accountant who couldn't prove he was qualified, why shouldn't the same standard apply here?
