So now the question is if libertarian lines up more to my conservativism than does republicanism. I’ll work to incorporate reasonable approaches to the areas that I have disagreement with the libertarian platform, just like I do the GOP, but the difference is that I’ll be standing truer to where I’d like to see the country than I do right now when supporting the current group of career political entertainers.

The last time I looked, the Liberatian platform was NOT very conservative.

If you equate conservativism with social conservativism, we’d agree. Conservativism, however, goes well beyond social issues.

Libertarian Platform: Statement of Principle:

“...People should not be forced to sacrifice their lives and property for the benefit of others. They should be left free by government to deal with one another as free traders; and the resultant economic system, the only one compatible with the protection of individual rights, is the free market.”

How many of the current GOP ‘leaders’ would agree with that statement?
