It really is a matter of ignorance. Democrat voters have not made the connection that the Obama and Pelosi are socialists. They are not sufficiently well-informed to be able to make the distinction.

The press does not report because it is partisan.
The schools do not teach because they are partisan.
The GOP does not emphasize this because they do not want to offend anyone who may have wandered into their "big tent."

I think it is because they think there is some perfect balance and we just have to achieve it. You know, a third way...It's misguided but it's what i believe, those that actually do think, think.
