You've got to be kidding. Although I like Thompson he looked older than McCain and he NO energy at all.
I never did understand the Thompson appeal.
Anyone who read up on his legislative history saw that he was nothing more than McCain-lite.
Anyone who watched his short presidential run saw that his campaign was lackadaisical and uninspiring.
He apparently thought he could just stroll in to the nomination. That plan didn’t work. IIRC, he garnered a total of one (1) delegate in his short presidential run.
Thompson may have had the want-to, but he didn’t seem to have the will-to. McCain did show tremendous strength with all his campaigning efforts. But McCain was still .... McCain.
