Constitutional crisis' looms over Obama's birth location
WND ^ | NOVEMBER 14, 2008 | Bob Unruh

The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.

The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

The the candidate or President Elect is not required to offer proof of his native birth, age or residency until the day the electors meet when the Senate clerk asks for that information.

Those are different days. The electors meet, as the Constitution puts it, in their respective states" in mid December. The President of the Senate, that is Vice President Cheney, will open the reports/ballots which have been transmitted to him via the states, "in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives". That is the first week of January.

His actions speak louder than his words. Look what he has chosen to do. I have lost count at all the law suits that have been lodged against him and he still refuses to demonstrate he is a natural born US citizen. His refusal to come clean speaks volumes to me. If we just put all his words on “mute” and take a clear close look at his actions, WE FIND THE TRUTH.

What does he choose to hide? Who are his friends? Who contributed to his campaign? Who does he hire? etc.

If you put all his speeches and promises on “mute.” Look at his actions. It tells us the truth and that is all we need to know.

I pray a Judge somewhere out there will take a look and validate his birth certificate once and for all. I hope the truth prevails in time. I hope people will summon the courage to tell the truth whatever it is.

I read on another thread here last week that McCain may have won Indiana after all. MSM didn’t report it but someone here sourced the Indina website. Nothing is official yet until November 19th.

11 electoral votes to McCain gets him closer. I know I am in my own world of wishing results could be different and not trusting the results we are all currently living with.

In the first place he doesn’t have to, a passport will suffice.

No it won't. A passport only certifies citizenship or nationality, not "natural born" citizenship. Arnold the Governator undoubtedly has a US passport, but he's not natural born, nor eligible to be President.

I thought birth records were public. Why is his info being kept a secret? How do the Hawaii officials justify this?

The RNC doesn’t throw any money at it because it would be throwing money away.

It’s being left open, IMHO, to provide distraction and diversion.

By keeping the issue open you get people fixating on it. Eventually they will look like kooks.

One thing we don’t see much of any more is freepers who claim that this is some kind of counter trap. It’s far too late for a counter trap to have been sprung because he already won the election.

“The the candidate or President Elect is not required to offer proof of his native birth, age or residency until the day the electors meet when the Senate clerk asks for that information.”

Ain’t NO such requirement in the Federal Election Law, NOR ANYWHERE in U.S. Law or the Constitution ...

But there should be, as it was CLEARLY the Founding Father’s intent that NO non-natural born citizen be POTUS ...

This is one of those things that fell thru the cracks ...

“I thought birth records were public. Why is his info being kept a secret? How do the Hawaii officials justify this?”

BCs in Hawaii ARE private (probably to prevent identity theft) - certain other documents such as marriage certificates are not.

The ONLY way to receive a copy of a BC in Hawaii is to be the person in question, or to be a relative of the person in question (after that person has died).

The person in question has to provide documentation that he is who he is ...

A relative has to produce documentation that he is related and ALSO a certified Death Certificate of the person in question.

The State of Hawaii then verifies the information.

The “sealing” of Obama’s BC is probably a ruse - no need to seal something others can’t get ... but they probably mean that they locked it in a safe.

I know... but I notice you aren’t saying it’s inaccurate.
