I sent an e-mail to the Cal secretary of state’s office before the election. The response was that the parties were responsible to certify their candidates. I replied that they must be extremely naive to think that Howard Dean vetted Obama or anyone else for that matter.

But wouldn't the Clintons have used their connections in the Democratic party to make sure this was done if there was any chance of it working?
