I like Michael as well. I am going to have to read the transcript on this instead of just commenting on McCain (couldn’t help it though). Michael is right. McCain needed to go after Wright. It was a long term and concerning reflection on Obama’s attitudes and character.

Let us remember that the great Pope John Paul, as part of working with Reagan effectively checked Liberation Theology in Central American with an effective and inspiring counter movement and discipline. We are seeing echoes of it now from this Pope as we see clergy standing up to Obama and crew on killing the innocent in the womb.

Another clueless pundit. Everyone that was going to be influenced by that heard Hannity's year-long broken record on it. The rest heard it and didn't care.

he is not a "clueless pundit"...he's the former lt gov of Maryland and sometimes Hannity guest and he is trying to become our RNC chairman....

he is the best and most well spoken and he doesn't mind kicking sad sack butts to get the party moving....

Micheal Steel is the man!

It wouldn’t have made any difference. There was more than enough information out there that should have buried obama in the election. People knew.

"America’s chickens... are coming home... to ROOST!"

Wright was more correct than he realized at the time, but not in the way he thought.

Supposedly, he wants to run the RNC. Does Steele have what it takes to fix the RNC or is he a different face on the same old same ol’?

McCain ran ten years for an office he never really wanted. That’s about as creepy as it gets.

You know who lost this election? Good ole RINO McLame. 56 million votes should have gone to a 3rd party instead of that loser.

Well, Mr. Steele, why the hell weren’t you raising the issue.

It isn’t nice to spam/hijack a thread with the information you have. Some of it is fine, point to your page.

BTW-look at my page.

I’m shocked. Allah actually seems to want someone I support to advance.

Go Michael! We’re watching RNC.

Michael Steele: McCain should have hit Obama on Wright

No he shouldnt have. If he did, he STILL wouldnt have won. McCain should have hit Obama on the ISSUES, ISSUES, ISSUES. (Of course, McCain couldnt do that lest he reveal his roots as Democrat lite).

If Steele thinks this is what McCain should have done, then maybe Steele shouldnt be heading the RNC

Not according to the Freeps who called me a troll when I pointed that out.

If McCain had compared the GOP economy with the Pelosi economy, he may have won. IMHO.

Hannity guest and he is trying to become our RNC chairman....

Then I don't have high hopes. His strategy is all wrong.

Willie Horton isn't cutting it in the 2000s. It's all about selling the message and staying on message. And run for the office, don't spend the entire campaign just running against your opponent. Kerry fell into the trap, then McCain. It's intuitively obvious to anyone paying attention.

Obama was going to win this election. There was nothing McCain could have done.

I agree with Hildy here.

I don’t know where you FReepers stand on religious issues, but with the amount of prayer that went into this election, I (along with many other FReepers) feel that this was the answer, for whatever reason.

If this is part of what God has planned for this world, nothing could have stopped it.

But that just would not have been polite! Socialism is a MUCH better option than bad manners.

Reach across the aisle some more in the senate, McCain, when Obama passes New Deal v2.0
