If bambi is disqualified, his pledged electors are disqualified and the rat ticket ceases to exist in this cycle. The only electors left are those pledged to qualified candidates. This is correct, as long as it happens BEFORE the electors place their vote.
Electors would then have to vote for the most qualified of the remaining candidates.
Also: No Constitutional provision or Federal law requires electors to vote in accordance with the popular vote in their State.
