Wrong! There was a sense of the Senate declaring him eligible. I really don't think the Constitution can be amended by a sense of the Senate resolution.
I agree completely.
I’m not sure some of these people are not Obambots. Others should be called CINO (conservatives in name only). Talking to them about importance of this issue with the regards to the Constitution if like talking to a Kool-aid drinker.
bump...
I still want to know if this statement from Market Watch means something:
“By Robert Schroeder

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — President-elect Barack Obama will meet his former opponent Sen. John McCain on Monday in Chicago, an Obama spokeswoman said Friday. Obama and McCain “share an important belief that Americans want and deserve a more effective and efficient government, and will discuss ways to work together to make that a reality,” said Obama spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter.”
You've accused me of supporting Gore and now you're accusing me of voting for Obama? And I see you need to call in your friends for support. Whatever dude. Knock yourself out. Go chase those ghosts.
I'll be hanging with the adults as we try and put an electable Republican party back together.
No it hasn't. Panama was not then, nor has it ever been a US Territory. We allowed to build and maintain the Canal, but never did we have Territory status.
The Senate can not abrogate the Constitution because they all agree on something.
Besides, I think he was born outside the Canal Zone in a Private Panamanian Hospital.
Constitution may be just a straw to you, but it’s much more to us.
And the Senator has been asked repeatedly, and fails to produce.
The third time was by the St. Petersburg Times newspaper.
They only cost $10.
And as you well know anyone can run ( as did a non-citizen in NJ) but only elligible candidates may serve.
Surprised that you don’t know that, since you claim to be in the Navy.
one time ping
this may be of interest, Keyes trying to block electorate until birth certificate verified
Yep I'm conservative and I'd say the Constitution means something to me, seeing how I served over 20 years defending it. Just because I don't believe that McCain, Palin and Bush are conspiring to put Obama in office is no reason to question my patriotism.
Is that a professional opinion from your therapist?
A state attorney told me that Biden would be President. I don’t think anyone really knows what will happen. He should not have been allowed to run for office if he isn’t natural born but it’s a bit late for that.
“Thats why I dont like the fact that theyre giving him (and therefore the NY Times) security briefings already.”
EV, why do you think the Bush administration is doing this, when there are these serious & unanswered legal questions?
I personally find this very troubling.
And then our guy loses. Surprise, surprise....
Oh, you must mean Ohio where the difference was 200,000. Hmmm, the same amount or more was fraudulent. Also, look at North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Indiana and Missouri. Some of these the difference was less than 20,000. Do you seriously think there was no fraud and the election was won fair and square? I never said Republicans “blew it”...nor did the millions who voted for Sarah.
He wasn’t defeated on November 4, but he is defeatable in the realm of governance. GW Bush got re-elected in ‘04, but not all of his proposals were enacted.
That is what I mean.
Why not? He is one of their own.
see post 374. thanks.
They seem to think that being nice to Democrats is the thing to do.
It’s suicidal, in my opinion. And I think history backs up my position, not theirs.
“They seem to think that being nice to Democrats is the thing to do.”
Not plausible.
Now, what do you really think?
Does Hussein meet any of these conditions?
