Obama’s Foul Weather Friends
On March 6, 1970, three members of Weatherman were killed when a powerful bomb they were constructing exploded prematurely. The device had been made from dynamite, wrapped with roofing nails to maximize casualties. Its intended target was a dance for noncommissioned officers and their dates scheduled for that evening at Fort Dix. [snip]
Larry Grathwohl, an undercover FBI agent who infiltrated Weatherman, later testified that Ayers had identified Bernadine Dohrn as the person who bombed a San Francisco police station in February 1970, killing one officer and injuring two others. [snip]
... 13 sticks of dynamite that the group placed in a Detroit police officers’ association building ... [assembled by Ayers] “Bill [Ayers] said that we should plan our bombing to coincide with the time when there would be the most people in those buildings.”
Bernadine Dohrn made numerous contacts with Fidel Castro’s Cuban Mission at the UN [snip]
After returning from Cuba, Dohrn and others met with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong representatives in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss antiwar strategy on US campuses. [snip]

As a gesture of solidarity, the Vietnamese who Dohrn met in Budapest presented her with a ring made from an American aircraft shot down over North Vietnam. Bill Ayers would receive a similar ring while meeting with Vietnamese communists in Toronto. [snip]
Sick, sick puppies. Sick SOBs — the most hideous couple I’ve ever heard of. I never thought I’d find a couple more detestable than the Clintons. Now I have — Ayers and Dorhn. Freaking creeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As noted above, both of them should be in prison, not in the halls of academia.
I think that was the bomb that was placed just outside of the 13th precinct located on Woodward near the Wayne State campus which fortunately did not detonate........
I think my dad was an instructor at the Detroit Police Academy at that time (I was away in the Army) then eventually transferred to that precinct and served as the Inspector's executive lieutenant.....
Their political views aside, the chief difference between Timothy McVeigh and Billy Ayers is that McVeigh had sufficient personal courage to act upon his beliefs. Billy was just a wannabe...a poseur who let others take the risks. Now, years later, Billy continues to pose and preen, and to feed upon the adulation of a society that he despises. In a wiser world, we’d call Billy Ayers a parasite, and deal with him accordingly.
