Today is the 100th Birthday of Senator Joe McCarthy of Wisconsin, a great American patriot who was vilified and condemned for his warnings of Communist infiltration of our government. Today, his warnings ring just as true.

He was so right and, so before his time. Look what ignoring him has done to this country.
Exactly. It took the greatest President of the 20th Century, Ronald Reagan, to win the Cold War, unfortunately that didn't include victory over America's enemies WITHIN.

......THEY ARE STILL THERE......
That can be sharpened just a little....THEY ARE THE GOVERNMENT
Sadly correct. The Communist subversion that Senator McCarthy warned us about has born it's poisonous fruit as of this past November 4th.
Folks, it is NOT "business as usual", America is now entering the darkest period of our history.

"Mr. Obama, are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party."
The so-called 'New Party' of Chicago certainly qualifies.

...the reason the Washington Post attacked him so was that the papers owners were Stalinist admirers....and theyre still communist sympathizers, only now they call it progressive
When Communists call themselves 'progressives', that's like pedophiles calling themselves "admirers of infant nudity".

A politician who puts his countrys welfare and security ahead of his own is rare in any era. McCarthy is a true American hero.
In a perfect universe, the 1952 GOP ticket would have been Eisenhower/McCarthy.
We not only would have won the Cold War 20 years sooner, we would have identified, arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned (or executed) the countless numbers of Communist traitors who are STILL burrowed inside our Government.

The "Original" Joe the Plumber ..........
And like our current 'Joe the Plumber', Joe McCarthy was chasing turds (of the Communist variety) OUT of our government, a task which was sadly unfinished.
Good contrast FRiend! :)

An excellent book (’Blacklisted by History’) that is, should be required reading in our schools, but we’ll all see Jesus come back before that book ends up in ANY public school curriculum.

May he RIP. Paul Revere rode the countryside warning citizens that the British were coming; Sen. McCarthy warned his countrymen that the Commies were coming. He was a true patriot in every sense of the word; and was ultimately destroyed by the liberal media. Even then, the media had many Commie sympathizers in their midst.
Well said Ken, and sadly true.

I personally expect to see civil war within the next 10 years.
Guess what?
The Commies and their fellow travelers are going to lose, and lose BIG.

Happy Birthday to your Wife! And there ARE a few million more like Joe McCarthy out there, I call them the 'great silent FR majority', the lurkers who never registered, who never post, but clean their weapons, rotate their stocks of ammo and supplies, and remain "at the ready".
I'm ready, believe that.

Thanks for posting this tribute to Senator Joe McCarthy, a true American!
It was my pleasure Jaz, if I end up accomplishing even a fraction of what Senator McCarthy did with his life, I will consider my own to be a roaring success.
And I'm ready to roar when the time is right.

Great thing is, she is also originally from Wisconsin like Joe. She is a little more laid back than me, so she has my radical anti communist core beliefs to go nuts for her.

Ann Coulter quotes from
This Thread:
The Best Quotes From Ann Coulter's 'Treason'
by Ann Coulter
"McCarthyism" means pointing out positions taken by liberals that are unpopular with the American people. As former President Bush said, "Liberals do not like me talking about liberals." The reason they sob about the dark night of fascism under McCarthy is to prevent Americans from ever noticing that liberals consistently attack their own country." -- Ann Coulter, P. 4
"The portrayal of Senator Joe McCarthy as a wild-eyed demagogue destroying innocent lives is sheer liberal hobgoblinism. Liberals weren't cowering in fear during the McCarthy era. They were systematically undermining the nation's ability to defend itself while waging a bellicose campaign of lies to blacken McCarthy's name. Everything you think you know about McCarthy is a hegemonic lie. Liberals denounced McCarthy because they were afraid of getting caught, so they fought back like animals to hide their own collaboration with a regime as evil as the Nazis." -- Ann Coulter, P. 10
"A half century later, when the only people who call themselves Communists are harmless cranks, it is difficult to grasp the importance of McCarthy's crusade. But there's a reason 'Communist' now sounds about as threatening as 'monarchist' -- and it's not because of intrepid New York Times editorials denouncing McCarthy and praising Harvard educated Soviet spies. McCarthy made it a disgrace to be a Communist. Domestic Communism could never recover." -- Ann Coulter, P. 33
"McCarthy was a popularizer, a brawler. Republican elitists abhor demagogic appeals to working-class Democrats. Fighting like a Democrat is a breach of etiquette worse than using the wrong fork. McCarthy is sniffed at for not playing by Marquis of Queensbury Rules -- rules of engagement demanded only of Republicans. Well without McCarthy, Republicans might be congratulating themselves on their excellent behavior from the gulag right now." -- Ann Coulter, P. 70
"The idea of a bowed and terrified liberal minority during McCarthy's 'reign of terror' is poppycock. Then as now, all elite opinion was against McCarthy." -- Ann Coulter, P. 92
"Contrary to today's image of McCarthy as a despised Torquemada, McCarthy was given a rare state funeral with a private memorial service in the Senate chamber, his seat covered with flowers. St. Matthew's Cathedral bestowed him with the highest honor the Catholic Church can confer, performing a Solemn Pontifical Requiem Mass before one hundred priests and two thousand well-wishers. Seventy senators attended his funeral, as did J. Edgar Hoover. Thirty thousand Americans lined up outside the Washington funeral home where McCarthy lay to pay their final respects from early in the morning until late at night. Condolences poured in to McCarthy's wife, amounting to more than seventy bags of mail." -- Ann Coulter, P. 123

Yuri Bezmenov would have agreed with and supported the efforts of McCarthy. He tells Edward Griffin how communism is attainable. You will see the similarities. We can thank Reagan for slowing this down. But, it is back in full force.

His only failing is vastly underestimating the extent of the infiltration.Indeed, but more importantly he also could not have envisioned the lack of serious opposition to such.
Because of this perception of weakness there is an all new blacklist, and it's purpose is punish and eventually eliminate ANY who hold traditional conservative values from a position of serious opposition.
They smell the blood in the water.

And it is important that we no longer treat communists with the respect shown by the academic label Marxists.
The two terms mean different things. Marxism is a theory of history, Communism is a form of goverment. Communism predated Marx. The term was coined when he was a young man.

Bad thing is, we have no Ronald Reagans in the stinking RINOcrat party too stop it this time. Reagan gave us our victory over communism once. America failed to act upon it. We got Klinton, now Obama. I am afraid that America is on the down slope into oblivion. It is going to get much worse, much worse.
