Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin threatened to oust the President of Georgia and 'hang him by the balls' during a top level summit with Nicolas Sarkozy, according to a top aide of the French president.
The outspoken former Russian premier is said to have issued the furious warning after Sarkozy flew to Moscow to broker a peace deal after Russia invaded their troubled neighbouring state. Putin's menacing tirade was overheard by Sarkozy's chief adviser Jean-David Levitte during talks between the two leaders on August 12.
In an interview with this week's high-brow news magazine Le Nouvel Observateur, Mr Levitte recounted how Putin exploded after Sarkozy told him the world would not accept Russia toppling Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili and installing a puppet government.
Mr Putin then stormed: 'I am going to hang Saakashvili by the balls.' Mr Sarkozy responded: 'Hang him?' Putin said: 'Why not? The Americans hanged Saddam Hussein.' Mr Sarkozy replied: 'Yes but do you want to end up like Bush?' Mr Putin was was then briefly lost for words before answering: 'Ah, you have scored a point there.'
Mr Sarkozy's advisers said later that the heated exchange marked the moment that Mr Sarkozy persuaded Mr Putin and President Medvedev to begin withdrawing troops from Georgia, which had been trying to take controls of its semi-autonomous regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Well, we can thank Bush that he opposed Putin.
Hey Vladimir, would you be so kind as to do the same thing over here after 1/20?
Who does he think he is? Jesse Jackson?
Now if American conservatives could phrase all their ideas in only obscene words the ACLU would have to oppose the "Fairness Doctrine!"
“With all due respect to our current president, Vladimir Putin has always struck me as a man you do not want to BLEEP with.’
Ditto. I remeber unfolding my morning paper one day, and there was Vlad. Something in his eys suggested to me that a lad would really have to feel on his game to screw with that guy with anything like a sense of confidence.
While a Hitler or a Stalin or a Saddam needs his legend to seem fearsome, Vlad’s got it in the look.
Ya think we can talk him out of that Russia gig and get him to be RNC Chariman?
Putin is a KGB thug who has stamped out freedoms and who wants a new Cold War.
Ya think we can talk him out of that Russia gig and get him to be RNC Chariman?
Ya think we can talk him out of that Russia gig and get him to be RNC Chariman?
I imagine Putin has some legend behind him as well. The Soviets played politics for keeps and “former” KGB Putin didn’t get to where he is with only a look.
It will be interesting to see what Vlad has planned for Zer0 in their first hostile encounter.
Ugh, not sure I could keep my stomach under control.
The first time The Chosen One hears the words "hang by balls", he'd grab his crotch and go screeching out of the room ;-)
It would be like George Bush getting SecDef and saying "Hussein wanted to kill my father. I want both of his sons killed and his head on my desk in a week. Now get it done."
Now Obama would have to figure out who which leader to talk to first. Because first the Iranians state that they want to burn Israel to the ground and push them into the sea, then Putin makes a threat like that... well you just know that men like that need to just talk. They wouldn't actually destroy a country or hang someone by his balls.... would they?
Hey libtards, can't vote "present" when someone is going to hang you by your balls or blow up all 57 or 58 states.
yeah, and that real meat grinder.... Harvard. My money is on Obama....... if they decide to fight with words.... but anything sharper than an adjective or deadlier than an active verb.... well he's gonna be hurting.
