Yes, what on earth would poor dumb slobs do without trial lawyers. I mean, EVERYTHING would be less expensive.
Lawyer Logic:
A Villain For Every Victim
John Edwards' thinking isn't very presidential.
by DAVID ROBINSON
Friday, July 16, 2004 12:01 A.M. EDT
John Edwards built his career suing doctors and hospitals, claiming that maternity-ward missteps caused newborns to develop cerebral palsy.
The theory that doctor error is a common cause of CP was dubious when Mr. Edwards used it to win his cases, from the 1980s to the mid-1990s, and is universally rejected by experts today.
Like other plaintiff's lawyers, apparently, Mr. Edwards went shopping for medical theories, conveniently agreeable experts and sympathetic defendants--a process that is easy to deplore. But the real problem with Mr. Edwards's record as a lawyer lies beneath the specifics of his cases, in the fundamental philosophy that motivated his work.
------------ Snip - - - Just one example of trial lawyer.

Lawyers are the archetype for the modern liberal. Jesus spoke of how to handle these folks, but unfortunately, since liberals pervade every aspect/institution of daily life, there is no common cause to settle upon a worldly solution, and no incentive to resolve issues the biblical way.
We have lost almost everything that was noble.

Spence said. "There is no other profession in America that fights for freedom, that fights for what America is about, that fights for justice for ordinary people."...yeah, and for every lawyer fighting for justice for ordinary people there are five trying to figure how to screw the ordinary guy and and help themselves to his money and rights...There's no need to get that abstract. For every trial lawyer fighting for justice, look no further than directly across the table from him to find another trial lawyer working against what the first one is working for.
Interestingly enough, both justice and anti-justice tend to have attended the same schools, live in the same neighborhoods, belong to the same professionals' organization, and charge similar extortionate rates.
You'd almost think they had a racket or something.

You do know why lawyers are required to wear ties, don’t you?
To keep their foreskin down.

well since lawyers are more important than doctors, we should mandate that every lawyer has to see a client regardless of his ability to pay if his legal needs are deemed an emergency.
There should be a law mandating that every person that is seen in a lawyers office can not be transferred to another lawyer's office unless he has higher qualifications that can't be met by the lawyer transferring care.
Finally a lawyer must accept all transfers from less qualified lawyers if he is able to provide the higher level of legal care.
Each failure will result in a violation under federal law and be subject to civil and criminal penalties.
What a bunch of cr#p. Funny thing is that most lawyers presenting to an emergency room NEVER say that they are a lawyer unless pressed about it. Now , secretaries and legal aides always like to drop that in conversation, but lawyers rarely do.

Now please excuse me. I just heard an ambulance drive past the house and I will never be able to catch it if I sit around here posting all night. However, I will leave you with one of my favorite lawyer jokes:
The devil visited a lawyer's office and made him an offer. "I can arrange some things for you, " the devil said. "I'll increase your income five-fold. Your partners will love you; your clients will respect you; you'll have four months of vacation each year and live to be a hundred. All I require in return is that your wife's soul, your children's souls, and their children's souls rot in hell for eternity.
"The lawyer thought for a moment. "What's the catch?" he asked.

"There is no other profession in America that fights for freedom, that fights for what America is about, that fights for justice for ordinary people." But you do that only for a contingency fee or court-appointment.

It has been my contention that the american medical model of healthcare delivery is lacking access because of one reason: the business of medical malpractice.
Can you imagine a system where the feds takeover the delivery system, but leave the malpractice system as is?
So, everytime there’s a problem with delays due to the system or rationing of care due to inadequate resources....
LAWSUIT!
Its like shooting fish in barrel. You think this lobbying group wants to see socialized medicine? Oh my god yes.

“List?”!!!
A surgeon, an architect, and a lawyer are having a heated barroom discussion concerning which of their professions is actually the oldest profession.
The surgeon says: “Surgery IS the oldest profession. God took a rib from Adam to create Eve and you can’t go back further than that.”
The architect says: “Hold on! In fact, God was the first architect when he created the world out of chaos in 7 days, and you can’t go back any further than THAT!”
The lawyer puffs his cigar and says: “Gentlemen, Gentlemen...who do you think created the CHAOS??!!”

Wow, I didn't know my cousin Gerry was still out there making waves. I thought he had retired from the spotlight. Fortunately for me, he inherited his liberal tendencies from his mother's side... and I'm related to his father's. If I had to have a famous relative, I really would've preferred a conservative .
