Palin would be well served to appoint someone she can trust to step asisde in 2010 if she decides to run for the seante at that time. In the mean time, she can continue to build personal relationships and alliances with Republican big wigs at the federal and individual state levels. Also, she can remain an outside for a couple more years and avoid being identified as a Washingtonian if she decides to run for POTUS in 2012.
