Neal Boortz has said that there should be one rank above "justifiable homicide". I think he called it "praiseworthy homicide". I would like "commendable homicide". It should include some kind of reward, and an honorary recognition.

I think President Hussein means to stop these heinous crimes, like the murder of that Hispanic youth.

Nope. “Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and emergency crews rushed Ramos to McAllen Medical Center, where he died upon arrival.”

Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene and emergency crews rushed Ramos to McAllen Medical Center, where he died upon arrival. The perp is deceased. What an excellent use of ammo.
The perp apparently bled all over the defender ... the defender should sue the perp's estate for cleanup costs.

Since there was a death involved in the attempted carjacking the 3 accomplices can be charge with homicide.

Has Ramos' mother or grandmother been on the TV yet telling the world that he was a good boy and had just turned his life around? Was just about to go back and get his GED, and was thinking about marrying one of his baby mamas. But in this case, probably not an aspiring rapper.

The other three will go back to playing ‘Grand Theft Auto’. Much safer.

Not in Texas - we don’t have a “felony murder” rule.

... the sheriff said he would likely not pursue criminal charges against Salinas...
Likely not, huh? I likely agree with that decision.

What if they are gang-bangers?
Then his buddies get revenge.
Pretty scary possible ongoing situation for the guy who simply protected himself.

1. Justifiable homicide in Texas.
2. Investigations of the intended victim for possible assault and attempt to murder, in Obama’s Chicago.

“He says Get out of the truck. I’m going to take it and I’m going to kill you,”
Not today asshole.
Same thing was tried against my Dad many years ago. The only difference was the names of the characters and it was a car, not a truck.
But same happy ending!
I credit my existence to a .41 cal rimfire derringer.

Ramos fired once into the air and his arms fell onto Salinas.
The two men tumbled to the pavement as blood spilled from Ramos' chest.
I hope Mr. Salinas wasn't wearing a nice shirt; that mess will never come out.
