Shepard Smith has long been an embarrassment for those of us who look to Fox News for reliability and intelligence. He always has been very unsophisticated and shows no sign that he does any homework to keep himself minimally informed. Study after study, including from liberal sources like the Washington Post and the Pew Foundation, have demonstrated the Obama bias of the MSM. He screams preposterous at his guest who points this out. Aggressiveness like his combined with a lack of intelligence is a witchs brew.
For Shepard to know nothing about the MSM Obama bias is truly bewildering. What country does he live in? And to add insult to injury, the FNC Judge pipes up with support for this absurdity. I dont really believe the Judge believes what he said in order to prop up an over-matched Smith.
With Brit Hume, as sophisticated as any contemporary journalist around, retiring from FNC, and Smith too dense to understand his own intellectual limitations, things dont seem to be too bullish for the Fox News Channel. Its truly sad.
He and Geraldo were competing to see who could be more histrionic and theatrical. As I recall, it was pretty much a toss-up.
His show could be called "Brown Eye"
>>>>>There is a rising star on FOX and it isn;t Shepard Smith. Its Megyn Kelly, who is a REAL TV journalist, is gorgeous ,smart, has her head on straight<<<<<
I agree with that. Megyn Kelly and Heather Nauert both impress me a great deal. So smart to hear and they both keep your eyes on the screen.
I stopped watching FOX with the Cameron Palin slander. If they would go all conservative with intensive investigation and not care about “balance,” their ratings would soar.
FOX needs RUSH Limbaugh and RUSH needs FOX.
1) RUSH should do a “serious” interview show, like Buckley did. This will help FOX retain their position as a viewing option for conservatives.
2) RUSH hit a plateau, his numbers, as large as they are, have stopped growing. THis is because moderates and liberals think he is just a bombastic entertainer. Doing a “serius” show on FOX will allow him to still do his “creative” show on the radio and grow his numbers.
I suggest news on FOX from 6-7 and RUSH from 7-8.
>>>>>FOX needs RUSH Limbaugh<<<<<
They most certainly do but could they afford him? He has a much larger audience than Fox. His talent certainly does seem to be on loan from God. His old TV program was extremely hilarious—his use of video tape was brilliant and there is no bigger star among conservatives. It’s not even close. There would be a much better chance of getting him for once a week only but I doubt even that.
It probably would be much more likely that Fox could lure Bill Bennett from CNN.
That's a good start, give him a Wednesday night "special" and pre-empt Greta at 9pm.
I have avoided both of Shep’s shows for a long time. I am down to a couple of FNC shows that I might watch. Life is more fun now.
I agree. Beck is like a carnival huckster. He sees the opportunity to salt away some big bucks so he is constantly doing these insane ‘shows’ all over the country and writing books no one reads. And the constant ‘I’m a drunk’ and sob stories are boring. The other day he was ‘attempting’ some satire on Sarah Palin that was absolutely sickening. I turned him and didn’t go back.
Mr. Smith is a blind fibbing marionette. He is one of the first reasons we stopped watching FOX a long time ago.
The powers that be have ALREADY started pushing the divine
Megyn week by week up the ladder of exposure and importance. Haven’t you noticed? Within a year she will be
THE FOX GIRL! and how appropriate is that?
Hi Bah!
Have only done the occasional lurking lately....good to see ya!
Always good to see you, my dear :)
Haven’t noticed because I won’t watch FNC.
I don’t trust Ailes or anyone else running FNC.
Over the years my viewing of Fox News had diminished quite a bit. I used to watch Brit Hume, but since election night, my house has been Fox News free, and will remain that way. This last campaign cycle did it for me. I can get more accurate reporting on FR. I hope Fox goes down the tubes like the rest of the main stream media.
I also turned it off on election night and the only time I turned it on again was during Greta’s interview with Governor Palin. It is off again.
To paraphrase my dear departed grandma(when I said $hit) “I wouldn’t have in my hand what he’s had in his mouth.”
