Where's John McCain's honor when we need it?
We'll find out tonight, when the Arizona Republican appears on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. In the week since the election, Mr. McCain's campaign team has leaked some nasty stuff about Sarah Palin. These leaks are personal, and they speak more to the character of Mr. McCain and the leakers than they do to Mrs. Palin. So it will be telling if Mr. McCain stands up for his partner and says how offended he has been by what some of his staffers have done to her.

did u go to mccains rallys when he was there by himself? he did pretty well sarah did better she is the fresh new face. but his rallies were not short of people either
and he did get them FIRED up ! we lost to hispanic vote. they seem to want amnesty for all ! without border tigtening selfish bunch of people there

The way i see it. Obama didnt win on issues. He won on race. hispanics and blacks all seem to have voted by racial issues. and not american issues. they segregated themselves

Sarah is a big girl in a big world. She has shown she is not afraid to take care of business hreself. Eloquently, directly and personably.

Unfortunately it would have been a landslide without her. Looking ahead, I think Romney-Palin for 2012 or a similar combination with Sarah as VP. She needs to do some time in DC learning about the complete a$$holes that live there and in NY. Then move on to POTUS.

u all need to get back to the republican platform. mccain seems to fit it all
fiscal responsibility being one. bush did NOT address that at all. He let spending get out of control in congress.All he had to do is address American People he never did. many didnt have a clue how far out of control spending was and many didnt have a clue about fannie mae and freddy mac and all the loans they were handing out to people who probably would never honor their contract

Matching her with the RINO Romney would be a horrible mistake. It'd be so clear that she'd be the lipstick on the RINO, and would be ignored after the election. There'd be no Palin surge, as the cynical approach to conservatives would be too clear.
I think she knows enough about the DC a$$holes now. She got up close and personal with the examples on the McCain campaign staff. She also knows about the national media variations.
The only thing 4 years as a Romney VP would do would be to tar Sarah with Romneys RINO actions.
She needs to stay as Governor, or possible Senator, where she has room for independent action and can reinforce the Palin brand. Being VP won't let that happen.
BTW You all broke Reagans law! Never diss a fellow republican. If you all had went after Dems in the beginning the way you went after Mccain , Obama would not be President ELECT!
The winner take all by counties would not work under our present system for electing presidents.
Republicans win more counties and more geography every single time. Unfortunately, they are not highly populated counties, so when it comes down to the general election, we’d lose the ELECTORS which is actually all that matters in a presidential election.
We were talking about the primary campaign and not the actual presidential contest.
It would be the republicans pitted against each other.

The primaries are a prelude to and aligned with the way the voting goes in the general election. What good does it do to have one system (by counties) in the primaries if that will only be overtaken in the general election by the popular vote within the state ?
We can keep wearing those red county t-shirts forever and never win an election.

Because the national election is hugely different than the primary season. The primary season is a series of states across of period of 3-4 months. The national election is based on a one day vote by the entire nation.
Because the intent of the primary campaign is select the candidate who best represents the sentiment of his party AND has the best hope of winning the national election, it is important to have a system that does not permit any candidate to win without hearing from the entire nation.
I believe that any change in our processes will be in vain because of the wild card: the National Press
They have teamed with the liberals to fool the masses into believing in a socialist regime. Idiot McCain neglected to include favorable reporting in his campaign finance reform law. He lost because of it.
