I take the time to remember all veterans.. I remember my father who served in WWII and Korea.. I think of all the fine veterans I have met and worked with in the VFW and the American Legion.
I also take time to remember all my friends who are still in the military now.. I wonder what about six of my real good friends who are now deployed in both Iraq and Afghanistan at this very moment.
Its time to remember those who served and those who are serving today.

Rest in Peace Jon Menke and Gary Henry. You served your country well and with honor. They died 8/04/08 when an ied exploded and destroyed their vehicle. To John B, injured in the explosion, keeping fighting to get better.
These soldiers were in my son's Army Nat’l Guard company, which is still in Iraq training Iraq Policemen. They were all wounded on that day, yet they still serve with dignity and do the Army proud!
My heroes all. They are getting a big box of cookies and brownies sent out today.

As far as the original post, I don’t believe Nov 18th was ever part of the armistice.
