Greta Van Susteren's interview with Sarah Palin which aired tonight on FoxNews:

I would support it as Palin/Petraus or Petraus/Palin!
That sounds like a winning ticket to me!
Sarah Palin is the antidote to Barack Obama.
bump
They’ve been LYING about Sarah and as we now know some of that information was a HOAX.
It will be instructive to see whether Mr. McCain will now extend the same level of graciousness to Mrs. Palin that he has to Mr. Obama, by giving a public slapdown to the very public smears emanating from his own campaign team. We have no idea what Mr. McCain will do when he sits down with Mr. Leno tonight."
McCain has a reputation for being nicer to his enemies (a despicable trait, btw) than to his friends. Obama and McCain couldn't have been farther apart, as far as political enemies go. McCain and Palin couldn't have been closer, as far as political friends go. Yet already, McCain has SO graciously reached out to Obama and urged us to do the same (Fat Chance!). Not a kind word for Sarah Palin, as the backstabbers among his staff, ravage her, let alone eloquent words of defense, which she well deserves and we all expect.
Governor Palin was and is too good for their campaign.
Someone previously posted the Time/CNN transcript of this. Time/CNN said it came from FoxNews.
I think the Time/CNN version started with the real transcript, but doctored it in some ways. For starters, while Fox said the interview was held in Anchorage, CNN/Time said it took place in Wasilla. It’s a small thing, but liberals have taken time to mock Wasilla, and belittle Palin as being from Wasilla. So placing the interview in Wasilla plays to their shared stereotypes.
I just watched part 1. She comes across very well.
I don’t think the MSM ever reported BHO’s saying that he had visited 57 states and was looking forward to seeing Alaska and Hawaii some day. That was a real gaffe - I’ve seen the video. If it was ever reported, it was soon buried.
I watched all four parts. Video is her best medium. She comes across as a lovely woman with all the right values. I think she is smart and can evaluate any argument advanced to her. She would make an excellent vice-President or President. She could be another Golda Meir or Margaret Thatcher, two leaders admired by male and female conservatives alike.
It helps to have an honest and friendly distributor. The liberal press is not above editing video, or doctoring transcripts, to make a conservative look bad. But that has not been the case here.
I think she should stay put in Alaska, run for re-election. As you say. she can wait intil 2016. Meanwhile, she needs to keep abreast of the issues. If I were to do it, I would seek out a mentor who could give her occasional advise since she is going to be danged busy keeping Alaska straight. She can use the governor conference as a vehicle to keep her in the spotlight. One thing I like is that she now has the taste for it in her mouth, and if anyone ever expected her to cry in public like Pat Schroeder, they have another think coming.
