McCain has never been an A list politician in my book.
Always the kinda guy that sat back and yelled “See I told ya’ it wont work
you should have done it my way.”

I honestly have to say, I wont support anything he does or says.
I'm starting to despise the guy, even the thought of him makes me ill.

“Fox News boss Roger Ailes doesn’t want to spoil Barack Obama’s political honeymoon, we hear. A source says Ailes has told prime-time hosts Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren to lay off the President-elect - at least for a while. “We’re not going to have any personal attacks on Obama,” a network insider says. “The public has spoken - we must treat him with respect.”

So if it's just going to be another Obama whoop-di-doo party, why should we tune in? How do they differentiate themselves from their competition, if they're not going to bring us the news that the other networks won't? Poor marketing tactics - that is if they're interested in ratings (perhaps not).

<<< ...without an act of God. >>>

*****

That is my only hope. Our future is in His hands. Today’s Psalm 42 was slightly comforting:
God is our refuge and our strength, our ever present help in distress.
Therefore, we fear not, though the earth be shaken and mountains plunge into the depths of the sea.

We have much more going for us than you'd imagine in this week of Obama. O won't be able to hide behind the BDS firewall when it comes to most issues. And issues McCain wouldn't raise are now fair game, whether its ANWAR or immmigration or whatever.

Higher taxes won't be popular with anyone for long. Promised tax cuts for 95% won't happen...all and every type of tax will increase.

Govt. service will be unpopular with everyone except college age empty skulls. They in fact may be shocked and surprised, and disillusioned.

Abortion and marriage(2 other non-issues in the campagin) are both back on the table and both losers for O. Too bad gas prices dropped because that's another winner for us. All we must do is demonstrate the peril we face with dependance on oil controlled by our enemies.

National security/WOT decisions from the WH won't be well received as Biden has predicted. Russia and Iran will try to intimidate and will scare the hell out of us and we're not likely to go hiding behind O's skirt.

The court worries me, but the 3 SC's due to retire are all liberals, so the net loss there will be minor since the 4 1/2 conservates are likely to remain.(as opposed to drastically changing the balance by replacing conservatives with liberals) Circuit judges are a disaster however, since the Dems stonewalled so well.

I believe we have enough conservatives to stifle the Unfairness doctrine, and the people and money to fight it in court if necessary. Since Obama was elected despite all the so-called unfairness from right wing radio their point is gone. Similarly, the race card can't be played although they'll try, but it won't be as effective.

Nor do I expect union card voting, or more ineffective govt. schooling to be popular.

We've got 'em on all the issues, imho, and with W. and McCain gone we may have an even better chance to push conservative solutions.

O man is no doubt getting a rude awakening to reality this week and he'll see that his pie in the sky policies like cap and trade will bankrupt this country, and he knows who gets the blame; He who occupies the White House. Sensible dems in congress will beg for moderation, lest they lose their jobs in '10.

We'll get through this, hopefully without out too much irreparable damage and an improved, stronger, and better delivered message. And lest we forget, the public now knows without doubt the Old Media is not above obfuscating reality to suit their philosophies. And besides, Old Media's goals have been met, they can now resume destroying what they build up, which is their modus operandi for all of (electronically) recorded time.

I'm with Rush....I don't quit until all of America agrees with me.

...you don’t wonder why he’s not defending Sarah Palin?

I gotta bridge to sell, cheap.

Well Obama has offered a job to McCain - to be his judas-dog in building bridges to the Republicans in Congress. Wonder what's up with that.

I day that I learned that 40% of babies in the USA are being born to single women, I knew that Obama would win. I did not need one more poll from anyone to tell me what voters wanted. It is obvious that government has become the “answer” to any economic problem. Add that to Obama’s Rock Star treatment and the outcome was obvious.

We should not tune in—we need to turn the T.V. entirely off to have an affect on their ratings. Also, maybe we should go after their sponsors in the same manner the Libs do.

First, I would not describe my position on Obama as “indulgent”. But the man was elected, by me it was fair and square, and I live in a country where the majority rules, in a fashion.

I did not like how the Dems treated Bush during his presidency so I will try to be better than that. Way I figure it won’t take long for Obama to mess up and, indeed, that Nancy Reagan comment was way the hell out of line so right there I don’t like the guy. He made a little gaffe, something about which presidents he’d consulted with. He said he’d talked with the living ones. Heh.

At the sound of giggles at this rather humorous answer, instead of being a decent fella and giving a little “oops, my bad”, the fine, fine Obama had to go and pick on a little old cripple lady who never hurt him a whit. Obama didn’t have the courage to use Hillary as the mighty one who regularly consulted with Eleanor Roosevelt so now we know he’s a damn coward.

So don’t go thinking I’m going to overlook Obama or even that I like the man. Again, I live in a country where the majority rules, in a fashion, and I have no choice but to stand aside and let the man lead. I’ll criticize him handily when he deserves it.

As for McCain, well I’m not going to become any McCain hater. I don’t hate the man. I do think that like Bob Dole before him he should disappear quietly into that good night. McCain had a most wonderful chance and I’m glad he had it. Good for him. But if the man gets it into his head that he’s going back to the House of Lords and form more “gangs of ten” or sponsors more legislation to curb MY freedom of speech or begins reaching across the aisle again to all his “friends”, believe that I’m going to go ballistic.

So far as I am concerned McCain ran an awful campaign and yeah, I think he’s involved with those attacks on Sarah Palin but hey, I’d like to be wrong about that.

It’s rare, but it happens.

It’s unconscionable that McCain didn’t
step in as the ‘leader’ of his campaign
to stifle the Palin attacks and correct
the barbs that Carl the Girly Man Gossip
delighted in passing on.

His and Cindy’s silence perpetuates and
gives credibility to their plan to undercut
her future chances.

#####

I am not a defender of McCain, but I wonder if “his and Cindy’s silence” is just another manipulation by the Dncmedia who will not report any statement that he has made.

If he and his campaign had had half a brain, they would have had blast emails going out daily (instead of the campaign donation letters I received DAILY!!!) refuting the message being sold by the dnc enablers.

Only if we can prevent nationalizing health care. If we lose that, the government will control life and death. I don't think we can unring that bell.

I notice that you failed to answer my questions posed to you. What should we do with the 12 to 20 million illegals already here or more importantly, what will Obama do with them?

We absorb whatever the number is to placate the W/McCain/economy part of the party, but get rules and a fence to place our part of the party.

To toss 'em all out sends them to the Dem's from now until eternity and keeps us in minority status. By compromising we have a chance and business gets some help. And I'm well aware being in Arizona that the compromise will leave problems of crime, povery, failed health systems, but for now we haven't got the votes to do otherwise.

Our Sheriff Joe won easily and has promised to step up his illegal immigrant crackdown. Arizonans also refused to defang illegal hiring practices. That's why I don't think there are nearly as many illegal immigrants as there were a couple of years ago.

I don’t think there’s a chance that McCain has tried to get a word out in defense of Palin, but isn’t able to find a single outlet for that defense.

Reports that I believe about McCain shocked me. It was clear he pulled his punches. Someone who should know said he didn't really want to be the one to take the blame for the historic defeat of the nations first black president.

In other words, he let political correctness take precedence over the defeat of socialism. Sickening. He didn't want to win. He wanted to play nice.

There must have been someone who wanted McCain to get the nomination, but he/she has been hard to locate.

That being said, he did one good thing, picked Sarah Palin and put her into the limelight where she will certainly stay.

He was infuriatingly soft on Obama, but I guess that’s just him. He seemed likeable after I got used to his being the candidate. I do not agree that it’s better that Obama won than McCain.

That’s ridiculous, but I’ve heard it said.

I’m still hoping that he will make a statement on Palin and that it won’t be a token, namby pamby thing but something extremely strong and effective.

I’m not ready to throw McCain under the bus. He got the nomination, nobody seems to know how, and ran a good campaign with his limitations.

It’s over for McCain but I hope we can still regard him with some respect ... at least until he makes his next dumb move.

Let’s not be so quick as the Zero to throw people under the bus.

And I am not giving him a honeymoon, not even a romantic weekend.

Sarah's Africa bit came about like this;

After a break in a briefing session she came back into the room and restated the subjects they'd been reviewing; "Ok, who's in Africa, who's in NAFTA, and what's the problem with CAFTA "(paraphrased from memory)

Someone heard her speak those words as if she didn't know and was asking for answers. In actual fact, she was restating the issues.
