I’m boycotting the news also. It only makes me mad. I’m completely ticked off at Carl Cameron and FNS for the hack job they did on Gov Palin. Fox is supposed to be better than that.
The best way we can separate the wheat from the chaff is to hold to our principles, i.e., the rule of law. We must also seek to limit legal immigration in terms of numbers and composition. The amnesty issue will come up again. We must stand against it regardless of whether it hurts us or not among Hispanics. I would like to see us focus on Dem blue collar whites who are being hurt by this influx of immigration. And even some blacks must feel betrayed by their leadership. The current black unemployment rate is 11.1% and for Hispanics 8.8%. We must draw a link between high unemployment among our unskilled workers and immigration, legal and illegal.
We also need to draw a similar linkage to higher taxes and immigration. Our schools, hospitals, law enforcement, infrastructure, etc. are also costing the taxpayer more due to the impact of immigration.
The bottom line is to stay with our basic principles of smaller government and lower taxes. Our society is aging with the baby boomer generation now retiring in greater numbers. By 2030, the number of retirees will double to over 70 million. Most will be on fixed incomes and be hurt by increased taxes and the rising costs of goods and services. The younger generation will be hit by increased taxes to pay for the entitlement programs. In 1950 there were 16 workers for every retiree. Today it is 3.3 and by 2030, it will be two.
Or else they are saying:
Oh well, we did good work, and it lasted a long time, but everything comes to an end sometime. Today’s Americans have no idea what they have just voluntarily given up. They will see in time what they have done to themselves.
Then it is the obligation of every single one of us to make sure we TEACH our children and grandchildren from the original documents of our founders. If the schools are pounding their brains full of this left-wing drivel it is our responsibility to teach them the correct history of our country.
I wasn't able to hear Rush's show Friday.
I can’t bear to watch the adulation during the honeymoon period. No more TV news for me. To think that the One took the time in Friday’s press conference to make an oblique jab at the great Ronald Reagan using a mean, spiteful dig at Nancy Reagan and to speak about Camelot Dieux’s most pressing issue of getting the kids a puppy- this is the next President? God help us.
I think Blunt is said he is going to step down, thank God, he is responsible for making the deal that allowed the Dohrn Democrats pass the $700 Billion dollar bail-out

I heard him (Wallace) on the radio with either Hewitt or Prager yesterday - he sounded viscious and angry.... what's his problem... he got what he wanted on Tuesday?
Amazing. I work with a “flaming Democrat,” a lawyer, who also has his PhD. On Wednesday, post election, I asked how he felt about the National Civilian Force that Obama wants? He looked at me, puzzled, “What are you talking about?” After I explained his own candidate’s platform to him, he looked concerned. “Well, we’ll be marching together on that one. Because that’s just not right.”
Pathetic.
We’ve gotta make inroads with Hispanics. Can’t ignore that electorate. They share traditional values more in common with Republicans, vs. Democrats. A lot of them are legacy Democrats who need to hear more from Republicans. Hey, it worked for Bush!

I worry about what’s gonna happen during the Inauguration Parade to the soldiers that have to march in it.
It will get glossed over by the DBM but I’ll let you know what my friends tell me gets said to them and thrown at them.
The Reagan jab was disgusting. But it telegraphed to all of us his true feelings about Conservatives and the people that support them.
I hear you. I am dreading our Thanksgiving & Christmas family gatherings.... I'm sure this is true of many American families....so sad :(
