McCain will be on Leno Monday night. Do you think he will be asked this question? I think so. And he should defend her profusely.

If he's allowing/ordering his underlings to "take out" Palin in a way that doesn't come back on him, then he's scum. If he knows the charges aren't true, and allows them to continue, then he's scum.

McCain wasted no time bashing anyone who dared say anything that could even be construed as derogatory about Obama yet he has said nothing nada nil in defense ofPalin. The crickets and I are waiting Mr. McCain for you to realize that Palin was the one that kept it from being a total landslide against you!!!

McCain has no soul. He is another heartless SOB who is pissed he didnt win and is now sending his minions to find a scape-goat.
God Bless Sarah Palin. Maybe this fire of ingratitude will make her even stronger and come back even harder .

I suspect that he's holding his fire, waiting for the dust to settle. He selected her, if he agrees with her critics, he selected badly. If he disagrees with them, as I suspect he does, his response should be sharp and definitive.

I think, right now he thinks his stock is low and she would better served by his refraining from appearing defensive. I agree there are arguments on either side, but I'll hold my judgment of McCain to see how events play out.

Disappointed in McCain is putting it mildly. I have always had a lot of resepct for him, thru the years I lived in
Arizona, right up until his silence in allowing this to continue.
He ran one of the worst campaigns I have ever seen from the getgo, the only possible exception being the Dole campaign. He should have canned these guys at the first sign of resistance to putting Palin on the ticket, and got someone who was intent on trying to win. The whole thing seemed to be run by Dems working for his defeat.

Not supporting Palin is just another piece of the McCain legacy.

My husband got an email from McCain’s campaign...basically saying “Kumbaya”...we should support Hussein now. He was furious. We did not give the maximum allowed to have the top of our ticket give a mealy mouthed email saying (basically) that there is little difference between the two parties. He deserved to lose. He is more interested in refurbishing his senate creds than taking on the position of “loyal opposition” ...where we stand up for those points that are essential to this country and fight for those principles. INstead, he will spend most of his time being the republican version of the democratic party.

McCain was a lot quicker to defend Obama from Republican comments than to defend Sarah from comments made by his own staff.

But that is McCain's MO and why I think he rode Sarah's skirt-tails.
