CLAIMED TO AP, THAT HIS FATHER ATTENDED OXFORD, AND THAT HE HIMSELF WAS RAISED IN KANSAS!
The Post & Email has received from a private citizen-researcher, PDF copies of AP News Stories which paint a picture of Obama, one which we know today is false. These additional AP reports corroborate the allegations that the AP in 2004 claimed Obama was born in Kenya. (See our past coverage of this aspect of the story:) They do this, because they confirm that the AP was willing to say anything about Obama, so that readers would feel connected to him.

"New Attacks "Even Bigger" than 9/11 Coming
Al-Faqih closed our lengthy conversation by calling us a taxi. As we got up to leave, I asked him how he saw the conflict between the West and the Muslim world playing out over the next few years.
"No matter what Muslim leaders do, there will be more friction with the West--regardless of al-Qaeda," he told me. "There will be more confrontation between the West and Muslims, with attacks even bigger than in 2001."
I exited al-Faqih's home a bit unnerved by that last comment. And thinking not so much about what he told me that afternoon as what he didn't."

It seems Democrats, reaching as high as the White House, believe a large-scale terrorist attack on US soil will do for the current presidents approval ratings what the 9/11 attacks did for George W. Bush (where his approval rocketed to 90% as Americans rallied around the flag, came together, and gave Bush their undivided support, regardless of how they felt about the man on 9/10/01).
When the next large-scale attack on the US happens, on Dr. Utopias watch, Democrats seem to think he will, like Bush, benefit from this event politically.
Perhaps thats why Democrats like Janet Napolitano think the system works so well, when it allows Muslims to come within seconds of downing civilian aircraft....
"Speaking of attacks can you believe the LSM is trying to portray the plane crasher into a tea party-like attack???? Good grief, the man had communist manifesto passages written within his on-line post."

The Fort Jackson attempted food poisoning really scares me. Why? Because we are all looking towards the skies
thinking Underwear Bomber
and yet we have ROPers in our military
scheming to poison their fellow (Dhimmi) soldiers; and thousands of ROPers working in food service industries manufacturing, packaging/transporting our food supplies.
Want to cause a panic? Sicken (or worse) thousands of military or civilians at one time. The Ft. Jackson scenario is chilling
yet, incredibly undereported. It took over six weeks for the story to leak out
why?

"When did the US become the toadying, venal, cowardly dhimmi's we see in Europe? I suppose we'll now have various government and media outlets trot out Islamic apologists singing in unison, 'Islam is a religion of peace' along with articles by Muslimah's entitled 'What my hijab means to me'."
Obamas slumping popularity. I think its more than just the usual end-of-honeymoon thing, personally. People note that Reagans popularity fell a lot in his first year but Reagan got generally hostile media treatment, while Obama has enjoyed friendlier press than any President in history, and has still plummeted in the polls.
"Thank God he's the first black one-term president! Wait, that didn't come out right ..."
"It wasn't that small government was unpopular and big government is also unpopular. It's the fact that not having a job is unpopular."
Unions Are Crippling Obama Exhibit A.
BILL OREILLY SUPPORTS GUN CONFISCATION DURING WEATHER EMERGENCIES? Thats funny. OReilly calls the opposing position extreme, but such gun confiscation is illegal under federal statute, and as a matter of constitutional law; in fact, the city of New Orleans lost a lawsuit over gun confiscation during Katrina. But then, OReillys no libertarian, to put things mildly. And hes consistently weak on the law, also to put things mildly. Still, he should have been better briefed for this show, as he came across looking like a fool, and making his extreme guest look sober and well-informed by comparison.
UPDATE: How radically anti-gun is Bill OReilly here? Even Barack Obama voted the other way. (Thanks to reader John Stober for the link).
What side are the gun nuts generally on? The less educated? The rednecks?

This jab from a troll a couple of posts ago deserves an expert response. Not being one myself, I offer this from our old pal Clayton Cramer, the man who led the charge years ago in exposing the fraudulent firearms research of Michael Bellesiles.
I am often asked, Did Bellesiles really think he was going to get away with [fabricating research about colonial firearm ownership]? I dont know. My suspicion is that Bellesiles assumed that people that disagreed with him about gun control wouldnt know where to find The Public Records of the Colony of Connecticut or where American State Papers: Military Affairs would be in the library.
One of the hazards with the political homogenity of the professoriate at the first rank schools is that they dont get a chance to find out what people outside their narrow circle think, and they tend to underestimate their political opponents.
I suspect that Bellesiles and his fellow professors think of the NRA as a small number of educated conmen in Fairfax, Virginia, leading an organization of four million guys in flannel named Billy Bob. A recurring theme of gun control advocates is that we are a bunch of toothless rednecks who marry our sisters. The reality is that the average NRA member is a registered Democrat, is better educated than the general population, and tends to work in a technical or engineering position.
It must have been a real shocker to Bellesiles to discover:
1. LOTS of NRA members have graduate degrees in history.
2. A surprising number read 18th and 19th century primary sources. (You wouldnt believe how many tips I received from gun nuts who pointed me to very useful documents.)
3. Some of us know the early Republic primary sources well enough to recognize when Bellesiles was altering quotes.
4. Some of us can even write.
"I have noticed an arc of Lefty trollishness from the cautious enthusiasm on the eve of the 2006 midterms, the euphoric heights basking in the glory of Obumbles electoral victory, the headiness of those first few months of the new administration (we won, Republicans irrelevant, Reagan repudiated, capitalism over, were all socialists now, gay marriage mandatory) to this current weird zombie-like state, tacitly terrified of the impending electoral Mattanza. Its like the soul has gone out of their trolling just going through the motions, an attempt at convincing themselves that all is just like before, even though something very real has changed, and something very unpleasant is on its way to their doorstep."

Jonathan Capehart at the The Washington Post intentionally omitted the Austin commie plane crashers Marxist rant from his article today about the attack on the IRS Building. That way he could blame those violent teabaggers.
Ace of Spades discovered the omission.
Heres the final lines from the commie plane crashers manifesto:

Hmm. Something important is missing.
What might that be?
Amy Bishop
(The Sanity Inspector)
The dextrosphere is airing out accused killer Amy Bishops political leanings. Shes alleged to be left-leaning, like 10 out of every 10 Harvard educated professors seem to be. A partisan though fair-enough roundup is here, at American Power blog.
So, so what? Is there any indication that her alleged crime was motivated by her political beliefs? Or is there any proof yet that the alleged bunglings of law enforcement back in the 80s and 90s were in deference to her beliefs? Cant people with advanced degrees succumb to character flaws and workplace frustrations that have nothing to do with politics, same as weve sadly seen at any number of offices and yes post offices over the years? Where is the proof that she was channelling her inner Stalin?
People are dead and hurting because of this wicked woman, dropping the allegedly now. Information is still coming out, and will continue to come out, I hope. I seriously doubt that there is going to be any underlying political theme in her motives, unlike Major Nidal or Timothy McVeigh. Lets not cheapen and invalidate the good fight against socialism by playing silly guilt-by-association games.
"It plays directly in to one of Jeffs primary themes here at PW: controlling the narrative."
When do we start
discussing whether Barack Obamas intemperate rhetoric is causing left-wing violence?
He writes:
In previous recoveries, virtually all net new job creation came from new businesses. Most new businesses, to be sure, are small businesses, although the ones that created the most jobs were startups that grew very quickly. The most common estimate is that new business accounts for about two-thirds of net job creation.
During the 1980s, cellular phones, cable television, and other new technologies were an important source of new job growth. During the 1990s, the tech boom funded tens of thousands of startups, and, during the 2000s, the real-estate boom. Every deadbeat could get a job in the 1980s installing cable televisions, and every starving artist became a real-estate agent during the 2000s.

From a context free Associated Press:
January wholesale prices jump 1.4 percent
By Martin Crutsinger, AP Economics Writer
February 18, 2010
WASHINGTON Wholesale prices shot up at double the expected pace in January, propelled higher by big increases in energy costs. The surprisingly large jump was viewed as a temporary blip and not the start of inflation problems, however.
The Labor Department said Thursday that wholesale prices rose 1.4 percent last month, reflecting higher costs for gasoline and other energy products. Private economists had expected a 0.7 percent increase.
Core inflation at the wholesale level, which excludes energy and food, rose 0.3 percent in January, faster than the 0.1 percent increase economists had predicted
The increase is unexpectedly twice and even three times what the expert economists had predicted?
The hell you say.

From an increasingly robotic Associated Press:
Jobless claims rise unexpectedly
February 18, 2010
The number of newly laid-off workers filing applications for unemployment benefits unexpectedly surged last week after having fallen sharply in the previous week. The gain dampened hopes about how quickly the labor market may improve this year.
The Labor Department said Thursday that first-time claims for unemployment benefits rose by 31,000 to a seasonally adjusted 473,000.
The increase followed a drop of 41,000 in the previous week which had raised hopes that the labor market, which has lost 8.4 million jobs since the recession began in December 2007, could be improving.
Thursdays news deflated analysts hopes that new claims would continue to decline. Economists surveyed by Thomson Reuters had expected new claims to fall modestly.
Still, the four-week average for claims did decline by 1,500 to 467,500, near the lows that were reached at the end of last year. The average is considered a more stable indicator because it smooths out the week-to-week volatility.
There they go again.

I saw this at Pamelas Geller site and felt this needed posting here. Coldwarrior has already exposed the lies about the Balkan conflicts (Part 1, 2a, 2b, 3). He explained that the 90s conflict was another round in a war that has been raging since the 1300s. Wrath and Speranza have written and discussed the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and his links to the Nazis.
Well, Pamela shows how his spirit is alive and well in Bosnia.
We fully expect the Democrat Party to essentially collapse some time after the November elections, with all-out war declared on the Leftists who took over the party in 2008.
The losses come November will be unprecedented, to borrow the current presidents favorite word (perhaps, like his books, also written for him by William Ayers).
Democrats love playing the blame game.
Another Story from Today (A Really Good One)
Dave In Texas
Likely a teabagging knuckledragger, Robin Dehaven, a window worker who happened to be driving by the building in Austin when that other teabagging right wing hater bombed it, decided to pull up and see if he could help.
Motivated by his deep frustration with the current administration (and likely latent racism), he pulled his ladder off the truck, threw it up to the second story where people were being overcome by smoke, and when unable to talk them through securing it, climbed up the unsecured ladder anyway, made it safe, and helped five people down to safety.
"I held onto their waists and their backs so they wouldn't fall if they slipped," he said.
Said the former US Army Combat Engineer and tool of the Bush administration.

Change: The United Nations' global warming chief is resigning. Now how about firing the head of its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and dismantling that worthless agency?
Yvo de Boer, the Austrian executive secretary of the U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, will leave his position July 1 to join the consulting group KPMG as global adviser on climate and sustainability.
We realize he'll be replaced by another functionary just as obsessed with forcing an emissions-restriction regime on developed nations. But we'd like to see the U.N. follow up the resignation by dismissing Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC.
It was under the leadership of Pachauri that the IPCC warned the world that the Himalayan glaciers would be melted by 2035 due to man-made global warming, a claim that turned out to be one man's guesswork, not the finding of a peer-reviewed scientific report. Pachauri initially defended the claim, admitting only after he could no longer deny the truth that an error had been made.
