Obama has lied to the Press for 3 decades

CLAIMED TO AP, THAT HIS FATHER ATTENDED OXFORD, AND THAT HE HIMSELF WAS RAISED IN KANSAS!

The Post & Email has received from a private citizen-researcher, PDF copies of AP News Stories which paint a picture of Obama, one which we know today is false. These additional AP reports corroborate the allegations that the AP in 2004 claimed Obama was born in Kenya. (See our past coverage of this aspect of the story:) They do this, because they confirm that the AP was willing to say anything about Obama, so that readers would feel connected to him.

U.S. DESIGNATED GLOBAL TERRORIST Sits Down with Stakelbeck On Terror [SAAD AL-FAQIH]

"New Attacks "Even Bigger" than 9/11 Coming

Al-Faqih closed our lengthy conversation by calling us a taxi. As we got up to leave, I asked him how he saw the conflict between the West and the Muslim world playing out over the next few years.

"No matter what Muslim leaders do, there will be more friction with the West--regardless of al-Qaeda," he told me. "There will be more confrontation between the West and Muslims, with attacks even bigger than in 2001."

I exited al-Faqih's home a bit unnerved by that last comment. And thinking not so much about what he told me that afternoon as what he didn't."

It seems Democrats, reaching as high as the White House, believe a large-scale terrorist attack on US soil will do for the current president’s approval ratings what the 9/11 attacks did for George W. Bush (where his approval rocketed to 90% as Americans rallied around the flag, came together, and gave Bush their undivided support, regardless of how they felt about the man on 9/10/01).

When the next large-scale attack on the US happens, on Dr. Utopia’s watch, Democrats seem to think he will, like Bush, benefit from this event politically.

Perhaps that’s why Democrats like Janet Napolitano think “the system works” so well, when it allows Muslims to come within seconds of downing civilian aircraft....

"Speaking of attacks — can you believe the LSM is trying to portray the plane crasher into a tea party-like attack???? Good grief, the man had communist manifesto passages written within his on-line post."

"

The Fort Jackson attempted food poisoning really scares me. Why? Because we are all looking towards the skies…thinking Underwear Bomber…and yet we have ROPers in our military…scheming to poison their fellow (Dhimmi) soldiers; and thousands of ROPers working in food service industries manufacturing, packaging/transporting our food supplies.

Want to cause a panic? Sicken (or worse) thousands of military or civilians at one time. The Ft. Jackson scenario is chilling…yet, incredibly undereported. It took over six weeks for the story to leak out…why?

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/02/five-muslim-soldiers-arrested-at-fort-jackson-for-trying-to-poison-the-food-supply.html

"When did the US become the toadying, venal, cowardly dhimmi's we see in Europe? I suppose we'll now have various government and media outlets trot out Islamic apologists singing in unison, 'Islam is a religion of peace' along with articles by Muslimah's entitled 'What my hijab means to me'."

Obama’s slumping popularity. I think it’s more than just the usual end-of-honeymoon thing, personally. People note that Reagan’s popularity fell a lot in his first year — but Reagan got generally hostile media treatment, while Obama has enjoyed friendlier press than any President in history, and has still plummeted in the polls.

"Thank God he's the first black one-term president! Wait, that didn't come out right ..."

"It wasn't that small government was unpopular and big government is also unpopular. It's the fact that not having a job is unpopular."

Unions Are Crippling Obama — Exhibit A.

BILL O’REILLY SUPPORTS GUN CONFISCATION DURING WEATHER EMERGENCIES? That’s funny. O’Reilly calls the opposing position “extreme,” but such gun confiscation is illegal under federal statute, and as a matter of constitutional law; in fact, the city of New Orleans lost a lawsuit over gun confiscation during Katrina. But then, O’Reilly’s no libertarian, to put things mildly. And he’s consistently weak on the law, also to put things mildly. Still, he should have been better briefed for this show, as he came across looking like a fool, and making his “extreme” guest look sober and well-informed by comparison.

UPDATE: How radically anti-gun is Bill O’Reilly here? Even Barack Obama voted the other way. (Thanks to reader John Stober for the link).

“What side are the gun nuts generally on? The less educated? The rednecks? “…(The Sanity Inspector)

This jab from a troll a couple of posts ago deserves an expert response. Not being one myself, I offer this from our old pal Clayton Cramer, the man who led the charge years ago in exposing the fraudulent firearms research of Michael Bellesiles.

I am often asked, “Did Bellesiles really think he was going to get away with [fabricating research about colonial firearm ownership]?” I don’t know. My suspicion is that Bellesiles assumed that people that disagreed with him about gun control wouldn’t know where to find The Public Records of the Colony of Connecticut or where American State Papers: Military Affairs would be in the library.

One of the hazards with the political homogenity of the professoriate at the first rank schools is that they don’t get a chance to find out what people outside their narrow circle think, and they tend to underestimate their political opponents.

I suspect that Bellesiles and his fellow professors think of the NRA as a small number of educated conmen in Fairfax, Virginia, leading an organization of four million guys in flannel named Billy Bob. A recurring theme of gun control advocates is that we are a bunch of toothless rednecks who marry our sisters. The reality is that the average NRA member is a registered Democrat, is better educated than the general population, and tends to work in a technical or engineering position.

It must have been a real shocker to Bellesiles to discover:

1. LOTS of NRA members have graduate degrees in history.

2. A surprising number read 18th and 19th century primary sources. (You wouldn’t believe how many tips I received from “gun nuts” who pointed me to very useful documents.)

3. Some of us know the early Republic primary sources well enough to recognize when Bellesiles was altering quotes.

4. Some of us can even write.

Jonathan Capehart at the The Washington Post intentionally omitted the Austin commie plane crasher’s Marxist rant from his article today about the attack on the IRS Building. That way he could blame those violent “teabaggers.”

Ace of Spades discovered the omission.

Here’s the final lines from the commie plane crasher’s manifesto:

And, here’s how the WaPo presented it, via HotAir:

Hmm. Something important is missing.
What might that be?

Amy Bishop…(The Sanity Inspector)

The dextrosphere is airing out accused killer Amy Bishop’s political leanings. She’s alleged to be left-leaning, like 10 out of every 10 Harvard educated professors seem to be. A partisan though fair-enough roundup is here, at American Power blog.

So, so what? Is there any indication that her alleged crime was motivated by her political beliefs? Or is there any proof yet that the alleged bunglings of law enforcement back in the 80s and 90s were in deference to her beliefs? Can’t people with advanced degrees succumb to character flaws and workplace frustrations that have nothing to do with politics, same as we’ve sadly seen at any number of offices and yes post offices over the years? Where is the proof that she was channelling her inner Stalin?

People are dead and hurting because of this wicked woman, dropping the “allegedly” now. Information is still coming out, and will continue to come out, I hope. I seriously doubt that there is going to be any underlying political theme in her motives, unlike Major Nidal or Timothy McVeigh. Let’s not cheapen and invalidate the good fight against socialism by playing silly guilt-by-association games.

The Sound Of Homogenized Science

The latest independent analysis of world climate data by acclaimed skeptic blogger ‘Chiefio’ (aka E. M. Smith) and his blog contributors confirm that the Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) has cynically dumped the world’s second oldest and reliable climate record at Prague in the Czech Republic for no scientific reason [...]

The Prague raw temperatures correlate perfectly with those of the world’s oldest climate data set, found in the Central England Temperature Record (CET) that has been running continuously for 351 years.

Thus, the two oldest and most reliable raw thermometer records in the world are telling us there is not a shred of real world evidence to show any significant global warming. Rather, it the homogenized or faked data created artificially by climatologists in their laboratories that is consistently being shown as the source of such ‘warming.’

Emphasis mine.

It’s all the Tea Party’s fault

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 19, 2010 07:17 AM

Here we go again. Something bad happened this week, so….fire up the Tea Party-bashing engine. My syndicated column today looks at the Left’s unhingedness over the Austin suicide pilot and the Amy Bishop campus massacre, which as I noted yesterday, reeks of the same craven political exploitation as the Kentucky census worker hoax. Since filing the column yesterday afternoon, there are even more examples to add to the pile. Allahpundit spotlights a Washington Post contributor and Time magazine piece both shoehorning the Tea Party movement into their suicide pilot coverage and commentary.

Damn the facts. There’s a crisis to exploit. You know, now would be a good time for a uniter-in-chief — an agent of hope and change in Washington — to call for civility and healing and a ceasefire on inflammatory attacks against peaceful Americans who had nothing to do with this attack. At 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, crickets chirp.

Latest development in the case: The suicide pilot’s wife plans to address the media today.

It’s all the Tea Party’s fault

Remember “Not Me?” He was the famous invisible cartoon gremlin in the newspaper cartoon strip “Family Circus.” Whenever toys were left on the floor or other school-age disasters struck, the kids in the cartoon pointed their fingers at “Not Me.” Today, “Tea Party” is the juvenile Left’s new “Not Me” – an all-purpose scapegoat for every crime and disaster.

On Thursday morning, a disturbed pilot flew a stolen small plane into an Austin, Texas, office complex that contained an Internal Revenue Service office. Several workers in the building were injured and Joseph Andrew Stack, the pilot, was killed in the crash. Local authorities suspect he set his house on fire – from which his wife and daughter escaped — before taking off on his deadly journey. Investigators found a Web posting identified as Stack’s “suicide manifesto” in which he railed against tax laws, inequity, government, and crony capitalism. He also targeted “puppet” George W. Bush and murderous health care insurers and the pharmaceutical industry.

The “manifesto” ended:

The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

This nutball had deadly grudges that transcended partisan lines. But within minutes of the story breaking, a furious, left-wing blogger at the popular Daily Kos website – where countless Democrat leaders have guest-posted – fumed: “Teabagger terrorist attack on IRS building.” The article immediately cast blame on the anti-tax Tea Party movement: “After months of threats on the United States government, and government institutions, the Anti-Government forces known as the teabaggers have struck with their first 911 (sic) inspired terrorist attack.”

At the eponymous mega-website of Arianna Huffington, a 2,000-plus comment thread was filled with allusions to “teabaggers:”

I would bet he has a membership card to teabag nation and the Glenn Beck fan club !

Tea bag bomb

Good to see natural selection still works! Tea party Unite!

This guy sounds just like a teabagger.

Oh please. This has tea bags dripping all over it.

I hope teabaggers are proud!! …. Great opening day for CPAC [the Conservative Political Action Conference] isn’t it??

This guy sounds like a Tea Partier first class! Maybe that movement is more DANGEROUS to our freedoms than they let on! Be afraid America, BE VERY AFRAID!

He was a Tea Party Terrorist.

In the early aftermath of the suicide pilot’s attack, there was no evidence that Stack belonged to a Tea Party group. In any case, no law-abiding Tea Party group would ever condone what he did. But it didn’t stop the haters from immediately smearing advocates of limited government. And it’s just the latest in a long line of calculated attempts to paint the vast majority of peaceful Tea Party activists as terrorist threats to civil society.

This week, absurd liberal pundits and bloggers also tried to connect the tragic University of Alabama-Huntsville murders to the Tea Party movement. No matter that the alleged killer, Amy Bishop, was an Obama-worshiping academic who repeatedly got a soft-on-crime pass. Or that Democrat Rep. William Delahunt of Massachusetts was the former prosecutor involved in dropping charges against Bishop in the deadly shooting of her teenage brother. Or that liberal-dominated campus officials apparently looked the other way at Bishop’s several red-flag flashes of violence leading up to the U of A shootings.

Tea Party-bashers claimed that the murders were a manifestation of racist conservative influence on the American landscape. CNN commentator Roland Martin pointed out that all the victims were non-white and wrote: “One can imagine that as Amy Bishop continued to shoot, bomb and kill people with impunity, eventually this obsession (with Obama) might have played itself out with some horrific results.” [CORRECTION: This quote was not made by Martin. My syndicate editor caught it last night and removed it from the syndicate version of the column. I forgot to remove it from my blog version. I apologize to Martin and regret the error.] Reuters Foundation Fellow Jonathan Curiel picked up the theme: “The ‘results’ that the Tea Party movement envisions include less government — and less of Obama.”

Curiel bemoaned the rejection of a post-racial society by tying together the Alabama massacre and the rise of the Tea Party movement even more explicitly. Proof of anti-Obama bigotry he wrote could be found in “last week’s shooting in Alabama, where a disgruntled white professor murdered three minority professors; and the growing success of the Tea Party movement, which is overwhelmingly white and increasing vocal in its violent dislike of the nation’s first black president.

The same warped worldview blamed Tea Party conservatives for Kentucky census worker Bill Sparkman’s insurance-scam-inspired suicide and for Holocaust Museum shooter James Von Brunn’s rampage (despite his published rantings against Fox News).

The smear merchants, of course, are simply following Rahm Emanuel’s advice to exploit every crisis. Pointing fingers at the Tea Party gremlin demonizes the Left’s most potent political opponents. This is the blame-gamers’ ultimate agenda: Criminalizing dissent.

The Left’s galloping sense of entitlement [Darleen Click]

Make no mistake, the organic TEA Party movement has so frightened and incensed the Left, a Left who can almost taste how close they are to fundamentally changing the character of America, they will stop at little to shut down any opposition.

Take just the last few days. Estimates put people who identify with, or participate in, the TEA Party movement at around 33 million. Where does the NYTimes go for their smear piece? To Idaho. CNN declares TEA Party people as privileged white males based on 124 people. Olbermann declares them racist. Bill Maher expands his disdain to include anyone that dares oppose the Left as “stupid animals”. In Nevada, up pops a Tea Party party to field candidates – a sure way to ensure Harry Reid is returned to the Senate and it would appear that this “party” might indeed be a stalking horse. While the non-Left doesn’t believe Amy Bishop was much more than just a profoundly disturbed and dangerous woman, even to cautioning against making her murderous behavior connected in any way to her pro-Obama politics, the Left not only torturously tries to tie her behavior to the TEA Party movement, but the other murderously evil Joe Stack is declared by the Left as a “TeaBagger Terrorist”.

Make no mistake. The Left isn’t about to give up on their agenda to transform America to their long cherished vision of Euro-Nannystatism.

We cannot give up making sure they don’t get their way. I mean, afterall,

It’s only America that’s at stake.

Blame Americans First

What’s the clearest sign the Obama agenda is in trouble? That’s easy: the string of jeremiads in the pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, and other outlets of fashionable opinion. Unable to tout the administration’s successes, and worried about Republican ascendancy, liberals have assigned responsibility for the mess they’re in neither to their program nor to their methods but to larger, structural faults in American politics and society. Beginning with you.

You aren’t too bright, for one thing. After all, opines Jacob Weisberg in Newsweek, the “biggest culprit” behind “our political paralysis” is the “childishness, ignorance, and growing incoherence of the public at large.” You simply do not know what’s good for you. “On many issues these days,” writes the Washington Post’s Steven Pearlstein, “the American people are badly confused.” “The people may have spoken,” writes the New -Yorker’s James Surowiecki. “It’s just not clear that they’re making any sense.” In a blog post titled “Too Dumb to Thrive,” Time magazine’s Joe Klein cuts to the chase: “It is very difficult to thrive in an increasingly competitive world if you’re a nation of dodos.”

The brazen dishonesty of this president is a bit concerning to say the least.
A newly discovered video shows Obama lying to the American people about his relationship with ACORN:

VIDEO AT LINK- use the link, dammit! Read the comments!

Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) from the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released this video at CPAC of Barack Obama discussing his close partnership with ACORN. Obama talked about his long relationship with ACORN privately in this video before the 2008 election:

“When I ran project vote, the voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it. Once I was elected there wasn’t a campaign that ACORN worked on down in Springfield that I wasn’t right there with you. Since I have been in the United States Senate I’ve been always a partner with ACORN as well. I’ve been fighting with ACORN, along side ACORN, on issues you care about my entire career.”

But, when Barack Obama was confronted about his relationship with ACORN publicly before the election he had an entirely different story. This is what he said in October 2008:

Reporter: Senator McCain today said there was voter fraud going on in the battleground states. ACORN has been tampering with America’s most precious right. There has to be a full investigation and he also said you need to disclose your full relationship with ACORN. I’m wondering if you have any reaction to Senator McCain’s charge?

Barack Obama: Well, first of all my relationship with ACORN is pretty straightforward. It’s probably 13 years ago when I was still practicing law, I represented ACORN and my partner in that investigation was the US Justice department in having Illinois implement what was called the motor voter law, to make sure people could go to DMV’s and driver license facilities to get registered. It wasn’t being implemented. That was my relationship and is my relationship to ACORN. There is an ACORN organization in Chicago. They’ve been active. As an elected offiical, I’ve had interactions with them. But, they’re not advising my campaign. We’ve got the best voter registration in politics right now and we don’t need ACORN’s help.

For the record…
ACORN is the largest radical leftist group in America today.
This radical group worked closely with the Obama camp during the election but, the community organizing group was not open about the relationship. The photo below was scrubbed from the ACORN website before the election:

One of Barack Obama’s first big “community organizer” jobs involved ACORN in 1992. He worked along side ACORN before he became an elected official. Obama also trained ACORN employees. He represented ACORN in court. Obama worked with and protested with ACORN. His campaign donated $800,000 to ACORN in 2008 for voter registration efforts.
And, ACORN even canvassed for Obama in 2008.

In 2009 Obama promoted a top ACORN operative, Patrick Gaspard, who’s oranization was fined $775,000 for election violations, to a top post in the White House. Gespard is helping shape domestic policy today.

Obama’s ACORN group was banned from receiving federal funds in September after the group was busted on tape promoting the child sex slave trade.

Obama to write Health Care Bill & use reconciliation - What about the Byrd Rule?

From 'hope & change' to 'duck & cover'

-- Curling up into the political fetal position and begging others to do what he does not have the guts to do himself, President Obama yesterday issued an executive order establishing the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform.

"The politics of dealing with chronic deficits is fraught with hard choices and therefore it's treacherous to officeholders here in Washington," Obama said as he outsourced the single most basic and important responsibility he and Congress has to the American people:

To behave like adults with our money.

MOE LANE NOTES THE PRECEDENT: Pitchforks, torches now acceptable for political demonstrations. “Feel free to pass that around the next time somebody has the vapors about a Tea Party protest…” Yes, as I noted yesterday it seems an unwise precedent for them to establish.

UPDATE: Reader Gregory Taggart writes: “Hey, where were all the African Americans at that protest? I didn’t see any; therefore, the left is racist. (For that matter, where were all the people who could act or read their lines?)”

Not just an all-white mob with torches and pitchforks, but worse: a no-talent all-white mob with torches and pitchforks! Well, remember, they’re union workers so they’ve always been opposed to paying them according to their, uh, performance . . .

SHOCKER: BARACK OBAMA, contradicting himself on ACORN.

Hacks with an agenda- like 0-bots:

Global warming believers need an intervention

Seraphic Secret provides the substantiation:

Several weeks ago, Karen and I visited old and beloved friends in New Jersey. A long-married couple, our friends are Democrats, but that has never diminished our affection and loyalty. Usually, we don't discuss politics, but the issue of so-called global warming came up. When Karen and I expressed skepticism, our friends were, literally, horrified.

"You don't believe in global warming?"

From their irate tone and expressions, you would think that Karen and I had just--G-d forbid--denied the Holocaust.

We shook our heads and suggested that Climategate should, at least, give pause to their faith in a science that supports global warming/climate change/whatever they're calling it this week.

Our friends had no idea what we were talking about.

"The science is settled," they insisted

And that was that.

There is no dialogue possible when one side is armed with information and facts, and the other side insists on a fossilized, delusional narrative.

I believe that even if our friends were aware of the scores of corruptions of science, it would not make a difference.

That's because so-called climate change is the new Socialism.

And many Democrats have morphed into Socialists.

Marx also claimed that his work was scientific, beyond reproach. His theories of the withering of the state and the fall of capitalism were and are advanced as "inevitable."

Marxism/Lennism is nothing less than a fanatic, religious cult.

And so-called climate change is the opiate of the new Socialists.

This new leftist hysteria--remember The Population Bomb and Global Freezing--is designed to alarm citizens--that's why Osama bin Laden recently jumped on the climate change bandwagon--grow government, redistribute wealth, and create a new politburo of climate bureacrats who will dictate every detail of how we live our lives.

These are brown shirts in green.

There was a point not long ago where I wanted to empathize with leftists, to believe that they were well intentioned, that their hearts were in the right place but that their heads had yet to follow.

It's getting tougher and tougher to adopt that sense of good will.

The fact that Obama said the following isn't helping:

Okay.  Well, let me just talk about -- this is -- when the conservatives have their conventions and they yell at me and say how terrible I am -- (laughter) -- along with health care this is the other thing that they usually point out, which is that "the President wants to create this cap and trade system and it's going to be a job killer and it's one more step in the government takeover of the American economy."  So this is a good place for me to maybe just spend a little time talking about energy and climate change.

First of all, we just got five feet of snow in Washington and so everybody is like -- a lot of the people who are opponents of climate change, they say, see, look at that, there's all this snow on the ground, this doesn't mean anything.  I want to just be clear that the science of climate change doesn't mean that every place is getting warmer; it means the planet as a whole is getting warmer.  But what it may mean is, for example, Vancouver, which is supposed to be getting snow during the Olympics, suddenly is at 55 degrees, and Dallas suddenly is getting seven inches of snow.

The idea is, is that as the planet as a whole gets warmer, you start seeing changing weather patterns, and that creates more violent storm systems, more unpredictable weather.  So any single place might end up being warmer; another place might end up being a little bit cooler; there might end up being more precipitation in the air, more monsoons, more hurricanes, more tornadoes, more drought in some places, floods in other places.

So I just -- that's one aspect of the science that I think everybody should understand.

I think everybody ought to also understand that much of the 'science' is predicated on false data being promoted as fact by hacks with an agenda.

Obama being chief amongst them.

Project: How do we stop the MSM and GOP elite from doing to Sarah Palin what the MSM and DNC elite did to Hillary Clinton?

Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized | Tags: , , |
[22] Comments

Let’s use this as a brainstorming thread, because on Monday, with great effort and determination, we want to launch a full-scale effort to prevent the MSM and GOP elite from doing to Sarah Palin what the MSM and DNC elite did to Hillary Clinton.

It’s clear the MSM is hard at work to make Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, John Thune, Haley Barbour, or some other milquetoast white man the losing GOP candidate in the 2012 presidential race.  We wish these men weren’t so stupid and ego-driven that they could all see they were being used.  Pawlenty, especially.  He needs to look in the mirror and realize he’s a better candidate to portray Droopy Dog at a theme part somewhere, without needing a costume, than he is to be our next president or vice president.  He should wonder why the MSM shows such great enthusiasm for calling him “a strong presidential candidate”, and ask himself if maybe, JUST MAYBE, they are doing that because they want a truly terrible candidate to run against their beloved Dr. Utopia so that he can win the second term the MSM wants him to have.

We clearly see all the tricks used to take down Hillary Clinton being used against Palin now.

The MSM calls her “polarizing”.

The MSM whispers to Republicans that “a woman can’t win”.

The MSM invents all manner of bizarre charges against her, rehashing old lunatic fantasies and lies.

The MSM breeds Eeyores amongst her supports and concern trolls to lower morale.

Meanwhile, the DNC is gearing up to game the Iowa Caucus so Palin won’t win, while ACORN and the SEIU and other organs of the Liberal-Socialist Democrat Party gear up for more voter fraud, intimidation, and the nuclear option of calling Palin and her supporters RAAACISTS!

If you paid any attention at all in 2008, you’d realize this is the playbook used against Hillary Clinton.

So, it’s time to start running a counter effort against all of this garbage. The Democrats have only one playbook.  Republicans, for whatever reason, never learn from the mistakes of the past.  Those cocktail parties and dinners they love going to at the Union Club must serve lotus leaves and waters of Lethe, because it’s Groundhog Day for Republicans every Election Day.  Fooled forever by the same tricks.

Sarah Palin is something different though — a Republican who doesn’t play by the old rules, and is smart and fiery enough to take the fight to the Democrats.  She is the opposite of milquetoast, which is just what’s needed.

We want to help her.

The only thing we can offer her is our experience and advise on bringing down the machine that’s being set up against her.

That’s a role we can play going forward.

We’d like your help in making it happen.

So, let’s get started by identifying what’s being done to Palin now, who’s doing it, and how we can stop it.

Chime in, and let’s get cracking.

"First and foremost, we Sarah supporters must BELIEVE in her message and in her potential. The biggest risk is when people who really like her believe enemy propaganda. Take an oath right now. Whatever they say about her (and they will throw everything at her, EVERYTHING), you need to remember why you support her in the first place. Not because she’s a perfect individual. But because she believes in America, and has the right philosophy of government, that the government that governs least, governs best, and that elected leaders should serve for the right reasons: not to enrich themselves, but to enact changes that will benefit the public at large. "

A majority of Americans believe that business leaders make better economic decisions than government hacks.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 51% of American adults believe decisions made by U.S. business leaders to help their own businesses grow will do more for the economy than decisions made by the government. Thirty-three percent (33%) say decisions made by the government will do more.

Barack Obama disagrees.
Over 90 percent of Obama officials bring only public sector experience with them to the White House. This beats even Jimmy Carter.

This helps explain the wacky decisions made by this administration. During his first year in office Barack Obama leaned on government for practically every policy he’s pursued.

Democratic incumbents are running scared and the fear factor is only intensifying. “The nonpartisan Cook Political Report released a new update on the 2010 elections yesterday. A full 54 Democratic seats in the House are now rated as “highly competitive,” with nearly half already seeing the GOP challenger running even or ahead of the Democratic incumbent. Only six GOP-held seats are in play as possible Democratic pickups. Republicans need to win 40 seats to take back control of the House. Nervousness in Democratic ranks will be heightened even more by Cook’s finding that a total of 95 Democratic seats are potentially vulnerable — almost two-fifths of the entire Democratic caucus.”

ROGER SIMON: The Zernike Kefuffle: Clinging To Racism. “So what’s the deal with this clinging to racism – or racial accusations – on the part of some liberals? Well, I think it reflects a significant and growing insecurity that they are no longer the cool guys. Via the Tea Party movement and other things, libertarianism – a rather attractive and even hip ideology – is taking over the right. People who love freedom are drifting rightward leaving the left with moribund unions and big government, neither of which seem to work. Liberals don’t have much of a belief system anymore and not enough reason to think highly of themselves, as they used to. Something’s wrong. Therefore, the other side has to be bad.”

Related item from Dan Riehl: “I’d bet money that were Zernike to hear similar rhetoric with the same dialect from a friend or colleague, she wouldn’t give it a second thought, let alone mis-characterize it as racist. One way or another, that is what they do to all of us on the Right. And whether they do it intentionally, or not, doesn’t matter. We can’t allow them to keep getting away with it. We need the Andrew Breitbarts and Jason Matteras of the Right; they deserve our encouragement and support. They can help us move this movement forward in ways we never have before. The Left realizes it. So, don’t expect them to relent. Standing up to the Left always puts a target on your back. It’s long past time for the Right to shoot back.”

Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid announced today that he will ram the democrats nationalized health care bill through Congress in 60 days using the reconciliation process.
The Hill reported:

Democrats will finish their health reform efforts within the next two months by using a majority-vote maneuver in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said.

Reid said that congressional Democrats would likely opt for a procedural tactic in the Senate allowing the upper chamber to make final changes to its healthcare bill with only a simple majority of senators, instead of the 60 it takes to normally end a filibuster.

“I’ve had many conversations this week with the president, his chief of staff, and Speaker Pelosi,” Reid said during an appearance Friday evening on “Face to Face with Jon Ralston” in Nevada. “And we’re really trying to move forward on this.”

The majority leader said that while Democrats have a number of options, they would likely use the budget reconciliation process to pass a series of fixes to the first healthcare bill passed by the Senate in November. These changes are needed to secure votes for passage of that original Senate bill in the House.

The US Lost Another 20,000 Jobs in January But the Unemployment Rate Dropped to 9.7%.

BB’s chart

4,022,000 million Americans have lost their job since Obama came into office:

Video by Eric Cantor, via STACLU

The unemployment rate is now at 9.7% and it doesn’t look like things will improve much any time soon.
Millions of unemployed Americans will face years without jobs.
The New York Times reported:

Even as the American economy shows tentative signs of a rebound, the human toll of the recession continues to mount, with millions of Americans remaining out of work, out of savings and nearing the end of their unemployment benefits.

Economists fear that the nascent recovery will leave more people behind than in past recessions, failing to create jobs in sufficient numbers to absorb the record-setting ranks of the long-term unemployed.

Call them the new poor: people long accustomed to the comforts of middle-class life who are now relying on public assistance for the first time in their lives — potentially for years to come.

Yet the social safety net is already showing severe strains. Roughly 2.7 million jobless people will lose their unemployment check before the end of April unless Congress approves the Obama administration’s proposal to extend the payments, according to the Labor Department.

Barry channels his inner King George III

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama is expected to publish his healthcare plan as early as Sunday or Monday, combining features of the two Democratic bills passed by the Senate and House of Representatives, congressional aides and healthcare advocates said on Friday. [...]

The legislation the White House will post on its website is expected to reflect common ground negotiated over the past several weeks by House and Senate Democratic leaders.

Those agreements are likely to be combined as a privileged budget reconciliation bill, which only needs a simple 51-vote majority to pass the 100-member Senate instead of the 60-vote supermajority that has become routine in the Senate and gives Republicans power to block the healthcare bill.

“I believe that’s the path we are going to take,” a senior congressional Democratic aide said. [...]

“The president is going to craft what he thinks is a good bill. It’s not going to be a perfect bill but it’s going to be a good bill,” [Valerie Jarrett] said at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The budget reconciliation process was never intended for policy bills. The Democrats and Obama don’t give a flying fig what the American people want and they are willing to give up seats — indeed, Obama stated he’d rather be a one-term president — in order to cram the nationalization of 1/6 the American economy down our throats. Transforming America into a gelded, Euro-Nannystate has been a primary goal of the American Left since Vietnam.

Yes they should skip the summit. Obama is not interested in what they have to contribute, he wants unconditional surrender or barring that, a bipartisan fig leaf of blame just in case (as it probably will) his healthcare plans bring disaster on this nation.Rasmussen: Obama Sinks Again; His Healthcare Summit is Going to Flop

Obama/Pelosi/Reid are confident that their media allies will hammer the GOP for whatever they do at the "summit". They also know that if they ram a bill down out throats, their media allies will find "average Americans" that will praise the bill, whatever it is, to put on the tube everyday in an effort to persuade those of us too stupid (in their opinion) to get how great this is for us.

In reality, 90+% of Americans have coverage, and 85+% are happy with the coverage they have. That means there is no reason to destroy the current system and replace it with a gov't run system with the efficiency of the Post Office, the customer-relationship skills of the DMV and the fiscal controls of Social Security.

The National Debt Road Trip

This is a great short video I thought I’d share since America has spent the past year living with the consequences of the extraordinary fiscal irresponsibility of President Obama and Congressional Democrats.

During President Obama’s first year in office the federal government spent $3.5 trillion. This amount far exceeds the spending by any other first-year president. For 2010 Obama and the Democrats passed a $2.2 trillion budget, which excludes the $1.9 trillion increased debt limit passed in February, all unfunded liabilities for Social Security and Medicare, and the $5 Trillion in Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac mortgage-backed debt. For 2011, they’re guessing they’ll spend a record $3.8 trillion.

So sit back and hang on tight because you’re about to see the ride America is taking with President Obama in the driver seat.

But even beyond that the parts of the story that presumably came from Obama himself don't quite stand up to scrutiny - it seems more like the life story that Obama might have imagined in the future Oscar-winning movie about him than the confused, semi-dysfunctional, somewhat privileged life that he actually had growing up. Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats tripled the national deficit in one year. They will top that this year.

Obama and democrats also passed a $862 billion failed stimulus bill in 2009 and watched the unemployment rate spike to record levels.

This weekend several democratic governors confessed they are worried about Barack Obama’s awful track record.
Breitbart reported:

Democratic governors said Sunday they worry about President Barack Obama’s track record on fighting Republican political attacks and urged him to better connect with anxious voters. Some allies pleaded for a new election-year strategy focused on the economy.

“It’s got to be better thought out,” Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell said. “It’s got to be more proactive.” And, he said, Democrats must hit back just as hard as they are hit by Republicans.

Eight months before the first midterm elections of Obama’s presidency, most Americans are frustrated with—even angered by—persistent unemployment and gridlock in Washington. Democrats fear voters will punish the party in power.

The titular head of his party, Obama has watched his own popularity drop over the past year. He will bear at least some responsibility for the outcome in November, and Democrats are looking to him for political fixes.

In interviews at the National Governors Association’s weekend meeting, several Democratic governors faulted the White House for losing the communications war against Republicans over what Obama has accomplished in his first year.

“We fought back only sporadically and pretty ineffectively,” Rendell said, adding that “right out of the box, we lost the spin war” on the $787 billion economic stimulus bill passed in 2009.

Several Democratic colleagues agreed, and lamented that voters thought Obama focused too much on overhauling the U.S. health care system. Others fretted that Obama may appear to be out of touch with the concerns of Americans.

“I think he’s got more work to do on that,” said Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, an Obama friend and ally.

Only 6% of Americans believe the Obama-Pelosi stimulus bill created jobs.

Jews leave Swedish city after sharp rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes(muslims, nazis, liberals)

Tea Party Revolution Could Undermine Republican Republican Jewish Outreach

Why are Jews liberal? or,  succumbed to the politics of grievance.
Grievance politics unites disparate minorities in unthinking opposition to the majority, even against rational self interest. The politics of grievance is an unthinking ersatz ethnic loyalty, wherein one defines oneself in opposition, rather than in being. It leads Jews to support political correctness, immigration of Muslims, and Third Worldism, even though these are all against their rational self interest as an Americans or as a Jews. It leads black leaders to support immigration, liberal social politics, and objectively failing education and social models. And this doesn't just apply to minorities in the West. Grievence politics in the form of anti-colonialism allows the South African regime to support Mugabe's starvation of fellow Africans in the once prosperous Zimbabwe. This minority nihilism will go on as long as the white West allows it to. We must stand up against it not only for our own survival, but also to save those afflicted with this illness. If the majority in America or the West does so, it will allow the rational loyal members of minorities to be heard. But first the civilizational AIDS of liberalism with its control of the media must be destroyed. Imagine if the media went to Thomas Sowell instead of Jesse Jackson, or Don Feder instead of Abe Foxman. The failure is not only of the Irish, Jews, Blacks, Hispanics. It is that of the English and WASPs.

10 Things We Should Know About George Washington

Unlike the Kenyan Con Man:

1st. Washington was a real person. God-like images of Washington appear on the dollar bill, in Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze's painting Washington Crossing the Delaware, and in Jean-Antoine Houdon's life-sized statue in the Rotunda of the Virginia Capitol. They are important historically and symbolically, but they make Washington seem remote and unapproachable. The real Washington was a lot like us. He was ambitious, enterprising, passionate, resolute, courageous, obstinate, vain, rash, short-fused, detailed and, yes, honest.

2d. Washington was one of the most charismatic men of his age. Far from the humorless, droll individual that 18th-century iconography suggests, Washington knew how to carry himself; to use his own metaphor, he was an actor on a stage. Thomas Jefferson wrote of Washington that "his deportment [was] easy, erect and noble." And at 6'2" (possibly 6'3"), Washington, a physically strong man, towered over most of his contemporaries. "You had prepared me to entertain a favorable opinion of General Washington," wrote Abigail Adams to her husband, John, after her first introduction to Washington, "but I thought the half was not told me."

3d. Washington was a man of integrity. He based his public service on this quality. "Integrity and firmness are all I can promise," he wrote to his former comrade-in-arms, Henry Knox, shortly before taking office as president. While Washington never confessed to the mythical lie about chopping down a cherry tree, even Thomas Jefferson, who became a political enemy, thought "he was, indeed, in every sense of the words, a wise, a good and a great man."

Exclusive: New Issa Report Exposes Criminal Enterprises Within ACORN

A new congressional report reveals that a number of political candidates received support from the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN), which is in violation tax and election laws.
The report was presented by the Republicans on the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, which has jurisdiction to investigate any federal program, as well as any matters that have federal policy implications. The report, titled “Follow the Money: ACORN, SEIU and their Political Allies,” is a continuation of a previous ACORN report released in July of 2009 that “explained how ACORN used a complex organizational structure of overlapping nonprofit community initiatives and political lobbying activities to conceal the partisan political use of taxpayer and private monies originally designated for the public benefit. The report found there was no real separation between ACORN and its affiliates. ACORN is a single corrupt corporate enterprise composed of a series of holding companies and subsidiaries that are financially and operationally dependent upon the main corporation.”
ACORN called the original report a “partisan hack job,” prompting a spokesman for Rep. Darrell Issa, the ranking minority member of the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee, to say that the report “hit a nerve.”

HOW A NEW JOBLESS ERA will transform America.

For those of you who believe that the economy is getting better because home foreclosures are stabilizing, read this.

Foreclosures are actually accelerating as the banks work hard to get the non-performing mortgages off of their books. It’s just that they have also found a way a accommodate the politicians by foreclosing in a way that doesn’t get reported in the foreclosure statistics.

OBAMACARE 2.0: Meet The New Plan, Same As The Old Plan. Or it may be even worse. “If anything, those price controls make the president’s new plan even more bureaucratic and government-heavy. . . . Those new government powers could make it even harder for people to obtain the coverage and care that they need.”

Gee, I wonder why?

STEADILY ERODING: “The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. That is the lowest level of strong approval yet recorded for this President.

Here come government health care price controls; Update: Obamacare 2.0$$ unveiled

By Michelle Malkin  •  February 22, 2010 09:52 AM

Scroll for updates…

Earlier this month, I flagged the White House jihad against Anthem Blue Cross of California over its rate increases (see Feb. 9, 2010, Will the White House demand that every business “justify” its price increases?).

That campaign has now become the new cornerstone of the Demcare revival.

Via the NYT:

President Obama will propose on Monday giving the federal government new power to block excessive rate increases by health insurance companies, as he rolls out comprehensive legislation to revamp the nation’s health care system, White House officials said Sunday.

The president’s legislation aims to bridge differences between the bills adopted by the House and Senate late last year, and to frame his debate with Republicans over health policy at a televised meeting on Thursday.

By focusing on the effort to tighten regulation of insurance costs, a new element not included in either the House or Senate bills, Mr. Obama is seizing on outrage over recent premium increases of up to 39 percent announced by Anthem Blue Cross of California and moving to portray the Democrats’ health overhaul as a way to protect Americans from profiteering insurers.

But the power grab is an admission that Demcare will result in massive premium hikes. And Republicans should pound on that fact if they plan on attending the Oba-kabuki dog-and-pony show this week:

Republican leaders had not formally accepted the president’s invitation to the meeting. But the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, said on Sunday that he would attend. “I intend to be there, and my members will be there and ready to participate,” Mr. McConnell said on Fox News.

The president’s new provision also seemed to offer Republicans an opening for a new line of criticism — that Mr. Obama and Democrats are anticipating the possibility of hefty price increases for health insurance even after their big legislation is adopted.

Mr. McConnell said the president, in proposing a new version of the Democrats’ legislation, seemed to prejudging the outcome of the session. “If they are going to lay out the plan they want to pass four days in advance,” he said on Fox, “What are we discussing on Thursday?”

Via the Daily Caller, the supposedly “stopgap” powers will last…indefinitely:

“This goes into effect immediately, while the exchanges take a few years to get up and running. And we know the insurers aren’t wasting any time in jacking up rates,” the White House official told the Daily Caller Sunday night.

However, the administration official said the government’s regulatory powers would not be diminished or eliminated once the government-run insurance exchanges are fully operational.

Of course not.

Don Boudreuax has 1970s flashbacks:

Those of us who remember the 1970s recall the frolics sparked by America’s last great experiment with widespread price caps – namely, those on oil and natural gas. The resulting short supplies gave us the thrill of waiting in long lines – and sometimes even getting into fistfights – for the privilege of buying a few gallons of gasoline. People literally chilled out in their homes for want of heat. The Nixon administration imposed a national speed limit of 55 MPH. These and other consequences certainly made for a memorable decade.

What cool adventures await us if Mr. Obama succeeds in giving Uncle Sam power to control insurance rates? Reduced coverage? Hidden fees aimed at skirting government regulations? Surly service? More trouble and delays collecting on our policies?

***

Update 10:20am – Obamacare 2.0$$ has been unveiled. Philip Klein sums it up: “Almost every provision in Obama’s new proposal will make it more costly than the Senate bill.”

You can read the repackaged government health care takeover plan here. Gone: Ben Nelson’s Cornhusker Kickback. Still there: Big Labor’s Cadillac Tax Exemption Buy-Off.

Jamie Dupree outlines:

The excise tax on so-called Cadillac health insurance is in this bill, with a slightly higher threshhold for where it kicks in.

The penalties for employers who have more than 50 workers and do not provide health insurance coverage would go from $750 in the Senate bill to $2,000.

Also not in this bill, the infamous “Cornhusker Kickback” won by Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) in the Senate bill.

As for how much it will all cost, officials sidestepped a direct answer on that, saying that all of the changes are paid for, and that the plan will not increase the deficit. That most likely won’t wash with critics on the GOP side.

Also still in the bill? Government abortion funding. Steve Ertelt reports.

Tim Cavanaugh notes that Joseph Stack is becoming a lefty folk hero:

The Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project hits the perfect storm of journalistic clichés by detecting a “perfect storm” of anti-government militias and “so-called Patriot groups.” Daily Kos claims (without evidence) links and ties to the tea party movement.

But a strange counterforce has been developing, visible in the comment boards on lefty websites and Facebook. The left’s creepy efforts to turn Stack into a club with which to hit advocates of lower taxes and smaller government keep getting met with responses, from other lefties, along these lines: “I read his manifesto, and you know, a lot of his points make sense.”

Heh.

This is a very interesting story, that could ultimately land Rahm Emanuel in federal prison (where, oddly enough, after watching Oz over and over and over again, he’d probably enjoy himself. “Tobey + Keller 4-eva!” is rumored to be printed on Rahm’s favorite, super comfy, pink nightshirt).

American Spectator is covering the bribe the White House tried to give to Joe Sestak, in the form of the job of Secretary of the Navy, so that he would not run against Arlen Specter in the Democrat primary in Pennsylvania (no word on if the White House tried to bribe any of the Sleestaks to not take part in the spectacle that was the recent Land of the Lost remake, a film worse than Arlen Specter’s poll numbers).

That’s in addition to the bribe the White House tried to give Andrew Romanoff, in the form of a job at the Department of the Interior, so that he wouldn’t run against doomed Democrat Michael Bennett in the Colorado primary... read all at the link....

In the 80s, we couldn’t understand why so many refused to believe Milli Vanilli were lip-synching, when it was obvious to us they were frauds. We have no idea why Avatar, a terrible movie that was essentially Pocahontas in space, made so much money.  We don’t see the appeal of the Jonas Brothers or have a clue who Justin Beiber is.  We never understood why so many Americans believed a cog in the Chicago political machine was a “Lightbringer” sent from the stars to solve all their problems.

Currently, we don’t understand how Democrats can believe using Reconciliation to ram through their terrible Healthcare Rationing bill is viable.

PULLING A COUNTER-ALINSKY. While some people debate the merits of the current healthcare legislation in Congress, or attempt to expose corruption in our government, Max Blumenthal instead engages in character assassination using the most questionable sources.

Recently, as has been well-documented on BigJournalism, Blumenthal branded James O’Keefe a racist for attending a debate at which Jared Taylor spoke. He did this despite the fact that O’Keefe sided with Taylor’s opposition, a black conservative named Kevin Martin.

The video below summarizes Blumenthal’s Alinsky tactics and highlights clips from the most recent CPAC where he continues his viciousness. As Andrew Breitbart wondered, what does Blumenthal really stand for, if it isn’t for destroying people’s lives?

"The ends always justifies the means when advancing socialism. That's why it appeals to insecure weasels like Blumenthal who can only stroke their own ego by trashing better people than themselves. "

Greece And The Welfare State In Ruins. “Almost every advanced country — the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Belgium and others — faces some combination of huge budget deficits, high debts, aging populations and political paralysis. The same unpleasant choices confronting Greece await most wealthy nations, even if they pretend otherwise.”

The MSM are not just idiots ... they are predictable idiots...For liberals, history starts every morning..."

Now, Mitch Daniels is being put forward as the favored cucumber-and-mayonnaise boring white guy the GOP should run to lose to Dr. Utopia in 2012.

That makes him the latest in the string of destined losing GOP 2012 nominees, all of whom the media cheerleads so that Dr. Utopia can be guaranteed a second term.

We’d love to focus this thread on collecting the history of these Horsemen, so that we can create a graphic that shows what’s going on, and keep a running list of all the MSM’s attempts to game the 2012 nomination on the GOP side.

Starting November 4th, 2008, the MSM has been pushing the following people to be the GOP’s next nominee:

(1) Bobby Jindal – semi-retired as Horseman post-awful performance in rebuttal to Dr. Utopia’s 2009 Address to Congress

(2) Tim Pawlenty

(3) Charlie Crist – will be retired as Horseman once Marco Rubio defeats him in GOP Florida primary

(4) Mitt Romney

(5) Mark Sanford – retired as Horseman when he imploded post-affair and missing person scandal

(6) Haley Barbour

(7) John Thune

(8) John Huntsman

(9) Bob McDonnell

(10) Mitch Daniels

(11) Mike Huckabee – retired as Horseman because of his pardons as Arkansas governor, which included the man who went nuts in Washington state and killed several policemen

Are we missing anyone?

It would be interesting to create a timeline that we could graph, showing the ups and downs of these Horsemen.  Which ones did the MSM push which week?

The_Anchoress

The coughing and hacking over here continues, but a quiet weekend helped me to get caught up on email, where one question was asked twice: “Anchoress, why didn’t you go to CPAC 2010.

Oh, gosh, I could answer that so many ways: that attending it with a rousing case of bronchitis would serve no one well; that I don’t really self-identify as a “conservative.” That lots of “pure” conservatives like to agree with me that I am “no true conservative.” (What is the difference between Republicans and Democrats?)

Those would just be excuses, though; I’d have loved to have gone to CPAC, if only to join in singing the praises of Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, who was deservedly recognized for his excellent work.

The truth, however, is that like a cheap wine, I do not travel well. Beyond that, the idea of wandering through a convention center amid 10,000 people gives me immediate heebiejeebies; I am deplorably bad at meeting and greeting; names and faces do not gel. I clumsily don’t always “get” facial expressions and social cues, so I end up mystified and uncomfortable while people all around me seem to know what’s going on. Like a feral blogger, I have almost no social skills at all and when allowed out in public, things end badly (no deaths, but plenty of injuries) and so I am better off on my own and separate.

And besides, who needs to go out when the highlights can be seen online? I’ve learned to love the edited experience:

The gunfire began that afternoon. Insurgents started to shoot them. My unit ran to the road and formed a protective position between the killers and the citizens going to the polls. As we scanned the palm grove in front of us, bullets cracked and whined, then mortars start thumping around us. My squad pushed into the palm grove. I stayed on the road, overseeing their movement and coordinating the heavy fire from the Bradleys.

The firefight ebbs. The mortar fire ceases. A few last stray rounds streak past. A cry from behind causes me to turn. Lying in the road is a young Iraqi woman. I run over to help. She’s caught a round just below her temple. Her stunning beauty has been ruined forever.

She cries, “Paper! Paper” over and over until the ambulance arrives to take her away. An old lady emerges from the schoolhouse-turned voting site, sheets of blue paper in hand. She gives one to the wounded girl, who clutches it to her like a prized possession even as the ambulance carries her away.

The ballot was her voice. All she wanted was a chance to exercise it, just once, before she died.

Abortion Office: Fetuses Displayed In Jars!!!

Disgusting on the one hand, on the other one is moved to ask “most sarcastically”, So?

They are fetuses not babies....right?

as such, they nothing more than tissue cast offs much like having a period and tossing the tampax in the garbage.

If abortion is so enshrined as a right of the woman, then how is a story, in any way, shape, form or fashion?

Are the newscasters having a conscionsus against Roe v Wade?

Are the police protecting anything here? If, after all, a fetus is merely unwanted tissue, then there is no crime of conscious, morals or against the state.

The abortion clinic was merely preserving some of their “garbage” for corporate promotion and as a benefit to their customers.

“Look here! We killed this fetus, “or rather, we removed this tissue from a woman who was so injured or offended by its prescence and wanted to keep it for posterity to show the good work we do”.

“Come on in. First come, first serve”. “Your womb is our work bay”.

The Case for Hillary’s Run for Prez in ’12 and Pelosi Retiring

No Nuclear Option

Abuse Of Power: The White House has threatened to ram through radical health reform by abusing the budget reconciliation process. That would mean a new chapter on corruption for the history books.

White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer told reporters Monday that Democrats, ignoring the will of the American people, will try to pass a big government health reform bill through the "nuclear option" of reconciliation. In so doing, they'd be circumventing a Republican filibuster in the Senate and need only 51 votes.

In response, House Minority Leader John Boehner said the president had "crippled the credibility" of the health "summit" planned for Thursday "by proposing the same massive government takeover of health care based on a partisan bill the American people have already rejected."

He said the bill "doubles down on the same failed approach that will drive up premiums, destroy jobs, raise taxes and slash Medicare benefits" and called the meeting "a Democratic infomercial."

"Using reconciliation," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell charged last week, "would be an acknowledgment that there is bipartisan opposition to their bill."

But it would actually be something far more arrogant. The reconciliation procedure was hatched out of the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974 to limit filibustering on budget bills — in other words, to prevent fiscally conscious senators from curbing Congress' big spending ways.

Physician: Two-Thirds of ObamaCare Passed in Stimulus Package

A nationally-recognized physician has written a stunning article in which she says that two-thirds of the government takeover of healthcare is already law under the provisions of the stimulus package approved by Congress last year.

She further asserts that the bill that is now being debated, which Obama unleashed yesterday morning, is the dreaded 'third rail' that will effectively seize the remaining third of the industry that is not under government control.

While most citizens, including conservatives such as this writer, were focused on the avalanche of proposals with which Obama and company bombarded Congress last year, apparently the fact that hidden within the massive trillion-dollar stimulus package, which most Congressmen and Senators never bothered to read, was a key healthcare provision that was overlooked.

Old Van Jones: W. is a crackhead! New Van Jones: We need more civility in politics

"Van Jones will agree with you as long as you think government’s job is to take money from rich people.

You thought I was going to add . . . and give it to poor people. But that’s not the philosophy.

The philosophy according to Communists like Jones is that the government owns everything. He thinks spending other peoples’ money is the government’s job.

Civility to him is he robs you (through the government), and you agree that the government should rob you.

. . . so the kids can play together and all."

Bristol Palin is one of the people much younger than us that we admire greatly, because of her strength in the face of relentless and withering attacks from the Hopeychangey Left.

The fact Obama’s most ardent supporters go directly for the jugular of this young woman, who did nothing to them, just because she is the daughter of a political rival, should tell Americans all they need to know about what Hopeychange really is.  It’s also telling ‘The Lightbringer” does nothing to call off his thugs, or chastise them for attacking an innocent.  Because she’s over 18, and is a mother, the same age as Obama’s mother when she had him, actually, she’s treated as a target by the Left.

John McCain claims to have been tricked on the Bailout

As much as I don’t like John McCain’s collaboration with Progressives on issues, there is no doubt he is a Patriot. However, his patriotism blinds him to the evil and ruthless nature of the Progressives. The Leftist media sang his praises for years, until he won the GOP nomination. Then they turned on him and destroyed him in merciless fashion. McCain under pressure from our former Treasury Secretary and Goldman Sachs crony Hank Paulson, supported the TARP bill. Under attacks from JD Hayworth, he is now claiming he was misled.

Over at Instapundit. So good, I must recap it in full:

BEHIND THE CURVE: White House: When Will the GOP Post Their Health Care Bill On The Web?

Republicans: “Our health-care alternative — the full text of the legislation — has been available at healthcare.gop.gov for months, which President Obama knows, since he discussed it with us in Baltimore a few weeks ago.”
Posted at by Glenn Reynolds at 8:26 am

I’ve never seen a president with a staff so lazily unconcerned with dotting i’s and crossing t’s or, you know, able to do basic research. But then, Obama is not at all careful about with whom he surrounds himself.

A bit more on Obamacare and the President’s plan:

Well, it can’t be scored, so he won’t be able to go to the “summit” this week and tell the GOP that he can prove any of his dollar-and-cents assertions or cost controls.

Keith Hennessey: doesn’t seem to like it much and wonders about “blame-shifting exit strategies.”

But here is the question: Can a story and a sentence this simple become the catalyst that upends the whole thing?  SLOGAN OF THE YEAR: “It’s my health, it’s my choice.”

I wonder…

Obama not in the mood for advice

Meanwhile, AJ Strata’s head is on another page, entirely.
