Exactly.EXACTLY! And IIRC there's at least one case in court today on this very subject.If that's true,I wonder how the Osama camp is handling it.Do they have any lawyers involved? If so,are these lawyers fighting the whole thing or cooperating? If they're fighting it,why? Executive Privilege"? And if they don't have anyone involved,why not? Why don't they have a lawyer there saying "Your Honor,I'm holding a written authorization from Mr Osama addressed to the Hawaii Dept of Vital Records and to Hawaii's Attorney General authorizing full cooperation by the State of Hawaii with any request of this court as well as from the press concerning his birth records.It's already been sent to Honolulu and I'm presenting it to you now."
And consider this.If it's discovered,by chance,that Osama does *not* meet the Constitutional requirement to serve as President *after* he's sworn in whaddya think *that* will cause....firestorm-wise?

I personally went to the library in Hilo, HI and copied the announcement from the microfiche reader. Others have done the same from the microfiche copies of the Advertiser kept in other Hawaii libraries. The announcment is real.
But Barack Obama is very pleased to see that you are continuing your fine work on his behalf—even if you don’t realize what you are doing.

What official reproductions?
We've never seen a paper copy of his BC.
What we have seen was an obviously modified digital image on an 0bama web site.
That was followed by a better forgery that included details missing from the original attempt, but at a lower net resolution.
That was followed by google 'disappearing' a half a million hits for searches for 'Obama Birth certificate' it took 3 days to replace them with 50K images of bananas, parties, New York BC's, and only the Obama's own site's web version.
That was followed by the FactCheck digital image of a paper copy. Both FactCheck and 0bama are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Anneberg Foundation.
WE have not seen a copy of his BC, only people who are part of his organization even claim to.

Fukino yesterday issued a statement saying that she and the registrar of vital statistics personally inspected Obama's birth certificate and found it to be valid.
It's true that is a vague statement, but if there was a discrepancy such as place of birth, don't you think she would have mentioned it?
Fake drivers licenses and passports turn up every day.And yet it's impossible for some error to have been made...somewhere....or for one or two...or ten...people to have been slipped $5 each for a "favor".I wonder if a newspaper's birth announcements have ever contained an error or been the result of dishonesty.
The gold standard here is the original birth record which,assuming one exists,would be sitting in a big, dusty book....probably somewhere in Honolulu.That record would look,even to the untrained eye,to be 47 years old...as opposed to 6 months old.The paper will have yellowed and they typed characters on it will look very old fashioned...given that it was done with a Smith Corona made in 1960.

Yes, the COLB Jay McKinnon admitted forging.
But not the Annenberg copy, that was not forged unless they photoshopped their own original, printed, embossed, folded and photographed it. The admitted forgery only had to photoshop a low res copy. The former is possible of course, but all those steps would have to be performed in secret.
No, the COLB at factcheck was not forged (unless they followed the steps outlined in my previous post which was not the case in the admitted forgery).

The one scan was of the whole newspaper page. Then there was a broken out enlargement.
The full newspaper page, the fonts didn’t look the same as the zoomed in highlight of the section pertaining to Obama’s birth.
I circled it in blue.
so the enlarged A1 is zoomed from the smaller scale document on the left?
