“I’ve got advanced education with a high GPA and an IQ in the above 130 range, facts I normally and almost never would bring up, but I LOVE Palin. I don’t have any problem with who she is, what her background is, and in fact, I relate highly to her Western can-do attitude.”

I’ve been trying to pin down what’s bothering me here, and I think it goes something like this...

When Palin took the stage at the convention - BAM!
That right there was some talent!
McCain? Not so much

OK - you could chalk it up to luck - and we say all the time that great speechmakers are not necessarily competent (ala Obama).
Except - we DO know she is competent. We know this from her proven record.

The interviews were not good.
Of course - she was walking through mine fields and she knew it.
Heavy editing made it look worse than it really was.

For me - the debate sealed the deal.
She smoked Biden.
She exhibited confidence - competence - humor- and grace.
The camera loves her, and I did not cringe once.

When she takes the stage I am relaxed.
When McCain takes the stage I cringe.
McCain says strange things. His voice quivers.
When he is attacked, he does not counterattack.
He allows value ammunition to just drop to the floor.

Many time he could have brought out heavy artillery - and he left it hanging.

My opinion is that she is a natural talent - and everyone knows it.
Give her four years to get ready? Watch out!
And the jealous ones, and the snotty ones are trying to nip the “Sarah problem” in the bud.
They’ve seen the crowds. They’ve seen the response, and they saw the millions that poured into the coffers just because of HER.

This woman makes alot of people afraid.

DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!

This woman makes alot of people afraid.

The key to the dishonesty of the left, and of trolls and others, is their inconsistency.

Bush had an Ivy League MBA (Harvard!) but "was not eloquent".

Sarah has a gift for the camera, and "is not qualified" due to lack of intellectual pedigree.

Incidentally, Sarah also made hay out of the claim that the Republicans are rich elitists.

And if McCain had had the common sense that God gave cement, he'd have tied Obama to the Subprime Crisis, and to Congress, faster than Clinton hitting on an intern.

But he didn't. He said "Obama is not a socialist and would make a fine President."

To blame this on Sarah reveals the prejudices (look up the word, please!) of the speaker.

One last point. No Ivy League pedigree necessary, nor particularly desired.

Clinton and both Bushes were Ivy League grads, as is Obama.

None of them have especially represented my views very forcefully.

Spot-on analysis.
