Hmmm...interesting.So what is it...are his records open to the press or not? Having done some family research in my day I know that states have different laws regarding records of that sort (birth,death,marriage,etc).In some states anyone can just walk in and see a record...and get a copy of it.In other states there are serious restrictions.If Hawaii is a "restrictions" state they should be taken down *only for Osama*.

Was discussed on a previous thread. IIRC the person or a relative of the person is the only one with access to the original (Became law to stop ID theft)......It was also already suggested that Dick Cheney might be able to get it.

Hawaii does not release birth records to anybody, you must be the person in question, or have an affidavit or something. I don’t remember exactly, and can’t look it up right. But his birth records would not be available to the press according to Hawaii law.
