... ask a man on the street and more than likely hell give you another reason for anything thats ever happened to America, the profound and analytical retort of its all Bushs fault. The problem is that he means it. A bigger problem is that we let this happen.
Why is this? The question does not even need to be asked. The obvious answer is the lack of able PR coming from our side.
While President Bush has been, contrary to conventional opinion (opinion that will change within months of his departure from office), an able leader on defense and on many economic issues, he has never been allowed to communicate the true reasons for his decisions or to defend himself from over the top attacks. His handlers have been cautious, and cautiousness, while having a rightful and important place, does not carry the day.

I agree. Ain’t no way EVER! Whose the moron that thinks this is anything but a moronic train wreck? GOP better find a conservative with a spine, guts, and steel gonads or else! Playing nice with Liberals gets you BEAT! Anyone doubt that, go back and relive the past months. Makes me ill to even remember. Leadership of the GOP and the McCain campaign are a disgusting group of gutless wonders. Thank God we have troops to defend us or we’d be toast.
>>>>>when the dust settles, we will discover that the typical Huckabee voter is who got us into this mess.<<<<<
I have almost been kicked off of FR by the Big Dogs for examining that concept in detail.
It is most certainly the Huckster voters in the aggregate who got us into this mess.
“Mike Huckabee For Dogcatcher,2012”
There! That’s better!
You can say that again.
You forgot the barf alert!
hell no!
This is the guy who said to Bill Maher: “Ya know, I really like you!”
I like Huckabee well enough, but he is NOT the candidate we need to put up. It is quite obvious that we need to get back to our roots, but not rehash the old. We need a fresh face, someone who is charismatic (cause obviously that sells to the voters, forget the issues), that has our same values, someone that is able to lead us as a party into the next generation. As much as I respect Mike, he is not the one to do that.
My choices:
1)Sarah Palin
2)Bobby Jindal
Ick, not my pick. I’d rather have Hunter, Jindal or Palin.
I agree,Oh please God make the Huckster go away!!!
But we do need to examine it, as a hypothesis. Obama made inroads into the “evangelicals” that traditionally are Republican. Couple that with the social conservatives who ignored abortion (!) to get on the Obama bandwagon, and we have a serious problem that needs to be examined.
Tag LINE!!!!!!!!!
No, please, just go away. If I never see this guy's face again, it will be too soon.
Huck is a bigot and a liar. He loves loves loves illegals and wants them all legal, just like johnboy. And best I remember he is a global warming freak as well.
Yeah he is trying to act presidential on his show. The thing is mccain was only a hairbreadth better than mccain, and huck is maybe a hairbreadth better than mccain... maybe. And fiscally conservative I don’t think so.
So true! First the evangelicals help him win in Iowa (we really need to do something about the evangelicals, but that's another thread), then he stays in the race, taking votes away from Romney. Not that Romney was ideal, mind you, but he couldn't have been worse than McCain.
He has nothing to offer.
