The View's conservative cutie Elisabeth Hasselbeck stunned viewers today by throwing her support behind president-elect Barack Obama. Executive Producer Barbara Walters asked Hasselbeck, who campaigned with John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, how she felt after seeing McCain/Palin go down to defeat on election night. Hasselbeck said her daughter Grace, 3, had asked her who won and who lost the election. "No one lost," Hasselbeck said she told her child. "Seriously, today is a victory for this country." Hasselbeck said the massive voter turnout and the excitement of the presidential contest inspired her. "I will get in a long line of supporters
for this president," she said.

Oliver Stone feature film of the autobiography of Obama? Feature film? We know nothing about him. And he's never really done anything before he started campaigning. Stone would never be able to do a feature film. Maybe "a short," if he padded it . . .
lol I was talking about freepers!!!!
The first half of the above comment is one of the good points I said you made in your previous post. Obama may have to save his most radical changes for the second term if he wants re-election, you are likely correct.
As to the second part of your comment, there are a number of changes he can make in the first four years which we may not be able to undo easily or at all, which include but are not limited to, appointments to the supreme court.
Our opposition to him should begin now and so should our organization and strategy, and perhaps we can diminish the harm he will be able to do those first four years and/or cause him to be such a disaster, he'll be tossed out of office after the first term. Further, I'm unwilling to give such a person any credit what so ever, unless at the time, we either deem it in the interest of the country or ourselves.
However, I don't think we'll have to worry about giving him credit, particularly if he enacts the socialist policies, his past so indicates. What's more, we'll have to work ardently to be certain Obama gets the blame, for his failures, and not President Bush or any other innocent party.
Never forget that Adolph Hitler was elected by the voters.

Hitler never received more than 39% of the popular vote.
Exactly. Turnout was about the same as 2004. It just looked impressive pre-Nov4, because of the high visibility early voting. The polls were DEAD November 4, other than the standard pre-work and post-work rushes.
I truly know nothing about her other than she is on a daytime TV show that I’ve never watched and have no intention of ever watching. I do know that she’s wrong about the alleged ‘massive’ turnout, but that fantasy is already set in stone in the history books.
I have respect for the office of the POTUS because I love my country. I have a bit of trouble respecting an individual office holder whose associates carried out acts of terrorism against my country. For patriots that shouldn’t be difficult to understand.
oh darn!
A majority of Americans have ruled, undermining, usurping and criticizing a President, at home and abroad, is patriotic.
Therefore, lest I be know as unpartriotic, I will undermine, usurp and castigate Obama, at homea and abroad (well maybe not abroad).
And why wait? Obama is the most divisive President-elect in Presidential history.
His unilateral appointment of notorious partisian Rahm Emanuel, a known conspirator in the Fannie Mae debacle, is a thumbed nose toward bi-partisian cooperation.

“But stooping to DUmmie tactics is nonproductive and unhealthy, and Im not giving Obama that much power over my life.”
Nonproductive? Remind me who controls the White House, and both houses of Congress?
We don’t have to be vulgar like the leftists, but can be just as assertive with a smile.
Sounds like it but is that a bad thing? Think the other bitches on the View would have said the same thing had McCain been elected?
Elizabeth is the only gal with class on that program.......
We don’t have four years - We need good republicans in place for the election in 2010. Hopefully he won’t have any supreme court appointments to make before then.
I agree with you. Since Ayers attended the celebration in Chicago and we await the civilian national security force, I wonder how long the peaceful transfer of power will last.
Respect the Office of President —always. But to say anyone elected deserves respect? However I will not speak or act in the manner Democrats did President Bush. Who knows who the Democrats would support next. 3200 professors supported Ayers. No one has proven Obama is a natural born citizen, but that didn’t bother the other side. None of his associations bothered them. So there is no accounting for who people will elect. Scary to think so many will accept just anyone.
More like “supporting myself no matter who the president is.”
re: “Lets not hate him.”
Those who are having a problem with president-elect Obama are not doing it because they are stupid.
It’s a problem with them because of what he BELIEVES in - baby killing -
THAT is what abortion is!
You face that fact - just like you’re telling everyone to suck it up and get over the fact Obama is now the president-elect and soon to be president - call a spade a spade - abortion is killing a baby!
When you can tell me you don’t have a problem with people who support baby killing (”pro-choice”) - and with no anesthesia given to them - no less - then YOU deal with people being upset - as they should be!
Which is more extreme - people who dislike abortion or or people who push the mentality of “choice” (killing a human being) up to the moment of birth for any reason?
My point being, we all have a fight ahead of us. I was just being a flippant yank to your little bit of gloating that Obama is not your President. I think he actually aspires to be the President of the world, and so could become your president.
Gloat while you can.
wth?
obama did not get overwhelming support, the problem was too many conservatives simply did not vote. it is not the same thing, dammit.
Hitler was elected by the voters? You may want to double-check that fact.
Your hate probably does more damage to you than to Obama, without saving a single baby. He doesn’t care that you hate him, and it’s your blood pressure that goes up, not his.
Smile. Tell the liberals that your life is great, no matter who is President (which it should be). Let them seethe with hate. They are hoping that an Obama Presidency can make you suffer as much as the bush Presidency did them. Don’t let it. It’s the best revenge you can get.
Then, instead of getting all irrational because of our hate, we can rationally, cold-bloodedly, plot strategy to advance the cause of conservatism (no longer to be confused with Republicanism).
