There have been "anonymous sources" within the McCain campaign who have been for weeks "badmouthing" Sarah Palin. Please find below the compiled list based off FreeRepublic posting of some of those most responsible for the ghastly behavior.
|
|
Name | Description |
Arlen Spector | Proof? |
Carl Cameron | the mouthpiece of these people |
Charles Fried | a Harvard professor who served in the Reagan administration. Fried said chief among the reasons "is the choice of Sarah Palin at a time of deep national crisis." |
Chris DePino | a Republican consultant based in New Haven, Conn. |
Colin Powell | "Palin not qualified" |
Condeleeza Rice | In an interview with CNNs Zain Verjee this weekend, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice offered a less-than-hearty endorsement of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palins foreign policy experience. |
David Brooks | |
David Frum | (National Review) |
George Will | |
Joel Goldstein | a law professor at St. Louis University |
Kathleen Parker | Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker thinks Palin should quit. |
Kevin Madden | |
Lindsey Graham | |
Nicole Wallace | Nicolle Wallace -- a former Bush White House official and McCain campaign aide who helped orchestrate the roll out of GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin -- has defended herself in a lengthy interview with The Daily Beast, saying she is the victim of "an organized campaign" to discredit her. |
Paul Mirengoff | (Powerline Blog) |
Peggy Noonan | |
Steve Schmidt | Proof? |
Tom Ridge | Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge: "I think the dynamics would have been different in Pennsylvania" if he and not Sarah Palin had been the vice presidential nominee. "I think we'd be foolish not to admit it publicly." |
|
I think Condi may be overkill.. a ‘less than hearty endorsement’ was still an endorsement and nothing like the attacks by the others..
John McCain himself for firing the only aide who was defendin Sarah, Randy Scheunamann (sp?).
Rick Davis for being complicit in the Palin bashing by not keeping his people in control.
Peggy Noonan as an jealous old hag who wishes she had Sarah’s looks and charm.
Kathleen Parker (seriously, do I need to say anything?).
Everyone at National Review except Jim Geraghty.
“Former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge: “I think the dynamics would have been different in Pennsylvania” if he and not Sarah Palin had been the vice presidential nominee. “I think we’d be foolish not to admit it publicly.”
Am I reading that right? Is Ridge saying that a Palin/McCain ticket might have won?
Mitt Romney because it was his people on the McCain campaign who are trying to clear out Palin for his run in 2012.
I can think of quite a few so called ‘right wing’ websites (obviously not this one) and forums that jumped on the Palin bashing bandwagon..
I despise these ignorant arrogant useless scum bags.
and also though...just kidding..I love Sarah, but I can understand Condi having some reservations about foreign policy..that is her expertise and she’s a perfectionist. But i’m sure C.R. would have been more than willing to get Sarah up to speed.
Someone called here last night, yes after the election, asking me about my stand on abortion. I couldnt help but think they are trying to come up with “evidence” it was Sarah’s fault..when in reality McCain failed in the debates and Bush came out with the 700B bail out and other failed decisions and overall bad ratings right in the middle of the campaign...I mean really ...blame Palin when in fact everyone knew it was political suicide to put Bush or Cheney on the stage ...what a bunch of crap.
Lawrence Eagleberger, who provided an ambiguous and conflicting assessment last weekend or shortly before.
He works with/for Kissinger Associates, but is getting a bit senile based on the last interview in which I saw him. Drooling and looking a little addled.
Kay Bailey Hutchison-—heard on the hot mic at the dem convention
Michael Savage—trashing her is part of his general disrespect for women
John McCain—slow to defend and fight back her haters, silence now as his subordinates trash her
Those off the top of my head.
Paul Mirengoff is a staunch Mitt-mutt. His willingness to print out of context quotes when Fred Thompson was emerging as a primary candidate is one of the main reasons I no longer read their blog.
Romney and his supporters are still resentful of Palin’s being selected. People blogged on it and reported seeing evidence first hand during St. Paul.
Flame away, Mitt lovers. Doesn’t change the situation.
Sara is the only reason I voted for the old guy!!
Why did we ever consider Kathleen Parker as conservative?
Please read her other articles a little more carefully. She’s more of a centrist who adores statism.
What the heck is “ghastly” about Condi Rice offering a less-than-hearty endorsement of Palins foreign policy experience? Palin has ZERO foreign policy experience, and it was solely out of politeness and party loyalty that Rice didn’t point that out.
Great list. Steve Schmidt was mentioned in article I found today on Hot Air. He was interviewed by a pool reporter and refused to answer when he was asked if he supported Palin.
Check out Hot Air. His silence speaks volumes. Coward.

It's uncorroborated, third-hand rumor mongering.
It's intended to DIVIDE & CONQUER.
Sadly, it looks like it's working
Would a FR RomneyBOT share with FReeRepublic a picture of that chair your Master sent his minion?
