Report: Palin's Wardrobe Is to Be Audited by GOP
Now that the defeated team of Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin have gone their separate ways, the knives are out and Palin is the one who is getting filleted.
Revelations from anonymous critics from within the McCain-Palin campaign suggest a number of complaints about the Alaskan governor:
Fox News reports that Palin didn't know Africa was a continent and did not know the member nations of the North American Free Trade Agreement -- the United States, Mexico and Canada -- when she was picked for vice president.
The New York Times reports that McCain aides were outraged when Palin staffers scheduled her to speak with French President Nicholas Sarkozy, a conversation that turned out to be a radio station prank.
Newsweek reports that Palin spent far more than the previously reported $150,000 on clothes for herself and her family.
Several publications say she irked the McCain campaign by asking to make her own concession speech on election night.
The tension is likely to continue or get worse. Lawyers for the Republican National Committee are heading to Alaska to try to account for all the money that was spent on clothing, jewelry and luggage, according to The New York Times.

Sarah needs to run for Senate as an Independent. She’d win in a walk.

These disgraceful people sound like typical inside the beltway backstabbers and friends of the MSM loosers.
Just one more example of why McClain NEVER could win the presidency — surrounded himself with incompetent “Washington insider jerks”.
Dear Senator McCain:My spouse and I sent a large contribution to you in gratitude for your selection of Governor Palin as your VP.
We also traveled away from our "blue" home state to an alleged "swing state" --at our own expense-- to work our butts off to get out the vote for you in that crucial state.
We canvassed precincts for McCain/Palin, and we made hundreds of phone calls on your behalf.
I am FURIOUS that your staffers are reportedly dumping on Governor Palin and her family in the most disgusting way.
If you are still the man of honor I believed you to be, you will FIRE these staffers immediately.
Please also make these backstabbers' names public so that if they are ever again hired by another candidate, we will know NOT to support that candidate.
Sincerely,

“Revelations from anonymous critics...”
There we go again — anonymous sources. Figures, NYT.
Good bet it is Romney’s people. Romney and Palin are the top two candidates for president in 2012 and he would probably like nothing more than to take her out now while the media is still piling on.
what I’d like to know is how can we purge all these backstabbing CINOs from our party?
What a bunch of bastards. I think the MSM and the RINOS are setting a goal of running her out of politics.
Screw you for being a RINO.
Screw you for running a crappy campaign that made conservatives vote for Obama.
Screw you for forcing Amnesty on us; and having the Hispanics vote against you.
Screw you for the gang of 14.
Screw you for limiting free speach by MF.
Screw you for any attitude that blames Palin for your major loss.
Screw you for knowing nothing and talking down to the base.
Screw you for always trying to "reach across the isle" while they put a knife in your back.
Screw you for being so niave as to believe those who fight us will come around by calling them "my friends."
Screw you for lecturing everyone.
That felt good.
the RNC is dead to me. What a bunch of cowardly sexist losers.
“”And where exactly is traitor McCain, these are his people””
Rush is furious about the report by Carl Cameron last night on Bill O’Reilly. Have to agree with him - it was a nasty, gossipy report and Cameron looked as tho’ he was really enjoying it. McCain needs to get out there NOW and denounce those campaign aides. We won’t forget, John!

It’s now time for this to be said...We conservatives supported John McCain as well as we could and I think most, if not all, were enthused when Sarah Palin was picked as running mate...especially after we got to hear what she had to say....
But, back before that, I, and I know a lot of other conservatives, wondered how in the world did Mccain receive our party’s nomination? IMO, he was selected by the MSM and by the DNC to run against Obama...
True conservatives, the backbone of the real republican movement, such as Tom Tancredo, Fred Thompson, and Duncan Hunter were, it seems, blackballed by the MSM...nothing these men said was ever reported...nothing they did was reported...their movements throughout the country were not followed...It seems obvious that the MSM wanted McCain and McCain only to run...and they got their way..
I don’t know of any true conservative that voted for McCain in our primary...
Now the election is over...McCain was defeated...We, as true conservatives, need to analyze where we missed the boat and see what we can do to rectify this problem in 2010... Sarah Palin is one politician that, I believe, follows our agenda closely, along with the afore mentioned Thompson, Hunter, Tancredo as well as JC Watts, Jim Bunning, Mitch McConnell, Newt Gingrich, Bobby Jindal, and several others...
It’s time to move away from the Hagels and the Chaffees...
Time for the TRUE Conservatives to band together and take back our party and our country and return it to the most wonderful, absolutely best place on earth to live..Prosperity for anyone who is willing to work for it...Generousity to those who are loyal in friendship and security throughout the world... A harbinger of fear to those who would dare defile us...
I would recommend that all here will Freep them with e-mails with you views of Carl Cameron, it is simple disgusting!
Look , I REALLy like Sarah & get excited because of her on the ticket, and has defended her before friends, but let’s be objective, and not be blindly loyal.
If, IF true that she bought way over on what was supposed to be a “Few clothes” , then it bugs me.
Imagine come 2012, she came running, all the opponent need to is bring this up,”You want to cut spending, you should look at ourself in overspending on cloths, with money that’s not yours! “
It will be a joke!
We need to be open minded on other savvy conservative candidates too, another Governor? I keep an open mind, let’s not settle on anyone so soon.
You know, I remember after the 2004 election that moveon.org told the democrats that it was “their party, bought and paid for.” Howard Dean trumpeted the fact that he was going to compete in every state at a grass roots level. We all laughed and thought that it would be a disaster for the democrat party to go hard left, especially at a grass roots level in red states. We are not laughing now, are we. Red states have turned blue, VA being the most alarming. As it turns out the democrats throwing their moderates out the door and turning to their core ideals (and this is not in any way an endorsement of those ideals) has yielded rewards for them.
My point is that it is time for the conservative wing of this party, for us, to hold a summit and let the Republican Party know that this is our party and we own it. RINO’s need not apply and can get out or face eviction. What we really need is to organize our own version of moveon, to get a powerful fundraising conservative arm. Perhaps there is one and I have missed it?
What kind of candy asses did McCain hire to run his campaign ?
He deserved to lose.
Again - the more we freak out about this the more it is going to further divide the party. Personally, and I’ll catch hell like I always do, Sarah Palin was not ready for this campaign. It was a mistake of McCain to pick her and it was a mistake of her to accept the invitation. They were both unprepared and now if people keep making this an issue, it’s only going to further hurt Palin and give reporters more ammo to dig deeper.
Good point. He needs to come out and straight these lies out now before her reputation is ruined. If he doesn’t, it shows to me that he blames conservatives for staying home and not voting for him. The only time his campaign had any momentum all year was after he chose her as VP.
