Wow -that is some savage cutting & gutting that Nicole Wallace has just performed upon Sarah Palin. Nicole & I crossed swords once, during the Harriet Miers nomination battle. Watching what Nicole can do when she is seriously annoyed, I am grateful that I got away from that fight with nothing worse than a few bumps and bruises ....
That said: Some of these stories do not ring quite true to me, especially the story about Palin allegedly not realizing that Africa was a continent rather than a country. Apparently she did not grasp that "South Africa" was not the same thing as "southern Africa." But there a lot of possible innocent explanations for a mistake like that.

Her handling of much of this went a long way to destroying the McCain campaign AND Sarah and putting a Marxist/socialist in office. I don’t know how she sleeps at night. She was definitely not on the side of conservatives and Republicans.

The only thing I can say to/about David Frum is: “It takes one to know one.” Frum’s an old hand at backstabbing Republicans

Palin didn’t lose the election for McCain. McCain (and Bush) lost it on his own.

Sarah got a real education about how petty and opportunistic many of these insiders are who work these campaigns. She’s smart, this type thing won’t happen again. She needs to begin surrounding herself now with people she can rely on and not the LSM and political hacks McCain thought he could use to curry favor with the media. This is a knife fight and she’s gong to have to choose carefully.
I believe Laura said a couple weeks ago that Nicole should be fired for not better managing the designer clothes shopping. Rush isn’t saying today but I believe he suspects her as well.

I think it would be a good skit. FWIW, I did sense a bit a increased affection towards Mac and Sarah on Fey’s part on the second appearance. I still think they’re PUMAs. They were savage towards:
Olbermann
Murtha, and
Biden
And he was enjoying reporting it with a big smile on his face. I heard him on Orileys radio show the day of the election telling BO that he needed to have him on the show the next night to talk about Sarah Palin. He was giddy!
Yes,jim. I remember this also. And it seemed strange to me at the time the way Nicole responded to criticism of it. My female "double-cross" sensor went off.
Something about what she said gave me pause of her feelings toward Sarah.

I guess there are a few liberal friends that I love too, but I don't walk with them every day.
I truly think she is hoping for a career with the MSM -- maybe back at CBS with Katie.
