I think the recession is already here. Technically, it may not have been 3 quarters, but realistically, it’s here. Layoffs are happening, unemployment is rising, taxes are about to get higher.
I’m not sure what the answer is, but I’m just trying to look for the best picture for a two year plan. Yea, I’m unrealistically pinning my hopes for a conservative sweep in 2010, but that’s all I’ve got to hang my hat on.
last night rove said that the republicans will sweep in in 2010 - and i am hoping its true - he also said that after that, all the redistricting maps are redrawn
one thing struck me as curious about rove last night - he was on bor, h&c and greta last night - at the end of the segment on each show, he said he really enjoyed working with them - almost a goodbye - i wonder if he is leaving fox

I’m not sure there is one answer, ever. I look at it a lot of different ways” technical, valuation, and psychological. CNBC is just way to rosey for this to be the bottom. Technically I could see this easily go way back. Most of the recent boom was built on debt, I can’t imagine we repeat THAT bubble. In fact that bubble is not even completely burst. And valuation - can anybody tell me the earnings estimates for 2009 are even in the ball park.
