GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin took some heat Wednesday from two of Pennsylvania's top political leaders.

Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell told business leaders at a postelection breakfast that John McCain would have had a better chance of winning Pennsylvania with a different running mate, and U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, a GOP moderate, rejected the idea that the Republican party might belong to Palin.

The RINOS that brought us McCain jumped ship when a Conservative was added to the ticket. The carnage without her would have been much worse.

Spincter is a democrat with an R next to his name. McCain would have been beaten even worse without her.

Vote Matthews Seriously.I would rather have a Democrat do stupid things openly as a Democrat than have a Democrat do stupid things while disguised as a Republican.

4. A lot of socially conservative folks from rural areas who are still waiting for the steel mills to open again, and are content to rely on financial support from various levels of government until they do.

I've noticed that a lot of those socially-conservative rural PA voters work for school districts, federal/state/local government or PENNDOT (maintaining the state's extensive road network). Every election they get put to the test: your values or your livelihood.

Yeah I was totally disgusted by that whole thing. The media has jumped the shark - all of it - even faux news.

While I saw probably 5 stories on Michelle Obama’s dress all we get is Sarah Palin was a shop a-holic.

It’s B. S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Seriously, if Murtha can easily get re-elected, then Pennsylvania is a lost cause and deserves the pain they helped bring to the country."

Absolutely. And because of Obama's attack on coal, which isn't just used for generating electricity, high carbon content coal is used for making steel, they'll be making even less of it.

Maybe they were hoping Obama will give them nice fat welfare checks, pay their mortgages, and supply them gas vouchers to fill their tanks instead.

BTW, RNC, I’m with Redstate.

People engaging in this are lepers to me. They always were, but now we have a clear dividing line to expose the people that have destroyed the party for what they are.

From my perspective Sarah Palin, whether she asked for the job or not, is now the conservative movement’s political leader. McCain is the GOP and elite’s leader. Our side is bigger if not yet in power within the party structure. But we’re going to work to change that.

And this is also why I felt no loss when McCain lost. What everyone sees today is what has been on display the last 8 years and what would have happened had McCain been elected. Think Obama will cause damage? Imagine McCain the unquestioned leader of the Republican party. He already devastated its numbers with his betrayals these past year on policy just as a Senator. the rat needs to be thrown out.

I think the one claim that I find to be the most ridiculous is that she is a shopaholic.

They are going to go after her to their detriment.

I just hope she doesn't grow weary of this crap.

Seriously, if Murtha can easily get re-elected, then Pennsylvania is a lost cause and deserves the pain they helped bring to the country.

Let's face it, Johnstown (PA) is not exactly a garden spot. No strong republican is going to relocate there to help us beat Murtha. So we send in the latest anonymous challenger, label them as "promising", and watch Murtha dispatch them. Even if the RNC threw a dumptruck load of money at that one campaign it would be tough beating the millions in pork & semi-extorted campaign contributions that Murtha can bring to the table. I apologize for the negativity.

Obama's margin, statewide, was 600,000 votes. His margin just in the five-county Philadelphia area was 656,000. The match was over before the ball got kicked west of Valley Forge.

Phila. area the key to Obama's win in Pa

The McC campaign failed because it was run in a Pi$$ poor fashion. The only life it got was Sarah, plain and simple..( she is not plain and simple) her manner of speaking etc. Sarah's time will come only after this nation takes a hit of monumental proportions. WE have to listen to the conservative and guys like Rush. Even though Hannity drives us nuts at times, even he espouses conservatism..

I would like to see Sarah sue these bastards for defamation of character!

McCain screwed her big time with their media friends.

F_*K McCain. The only reason I voted for McCain is because I didn’t want a Communist in the White House.
