Your analysis leaves out one thing: EVERY President elected in the last 40 yrs has been the candidate with the most consistent message on tax cuts.
The masses are idiots, but, the idiot masses don’t vote in sufficient numbers to the non-idiots. You can cut through the “People” crowd with the right message.
I submit that amazing abilities to ‘reach across the aisle’ isn’t that message.
McCain has always been known as a tax cutting machine. So NOW what’s your explanation.
The masses wanted “hope” and roses and happiness......and that’s the dumb thing they voted for.
