The United States of America has in one fell swoop rejected the status quo and elected the first black president. Now that the minorities in this country have seen one of their own elected to the highest office in the land, hopefully we can finally put the race issue to bed and discontinue the Balkanizing of America. Although we have our differences, these differences should not be what identify us. There should not be a hyphen in front of or behind the word American. Profiling should be left to those who investigate crime.
Although I chose to support McCain-Palin, I feel none of the angst that my Democratic brethren expressed at President Bushs election. I am willing to accept Americas choice in the next leader of this free country. To be perfectly honest, I am relieved that the sky did not fall, Chicago did not succumb to rioting, and there is a relative sense of calm in the air.

Not a chance.
Read up on “black liberation theology”, BO’s church for twenty years:

BLT does not promote racial harmony.
This race issue should have been put to bed years ago.Yes it’s true Obama rose to power because of unfair advantages, but not because he was Black, but because his grand parents were extremely wealthy. And for years, I witnessed in the company I worked for promotions given out on the merit of race alone and not achievements. This encouraged not high performance among others but low performance. Why bother trying? That promotion was going to the minority, no matter how well you performed. So, I say eliminate this mentality, and one will see better performance and higher achievements in the workplace, if promotions are given based on work performance
The chip on their shoulders will only grow bigger when they realize capitulation has been forced rather than volunteered.
The advantage has been granted by government rather than willing, caring, understanding people.
How about taking a stab at ensuring only voters with BRAINS make these decisions from now on?
Amendment 15
1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
HOW ABOUT REQUIRING THAT VOTERS POSSESS AT LEAST THE SAME BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY AND THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF THE UNITED STATES THAT IS REQUIRED OF IMMIGRANTS WISHING TO BECOME CITIZENS?
AND HOW ABOUT REQUIRING THAT ELIGIBLE VOTERS HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE OF THE CANDIDATES AND ISSUES ON THE BALLOT?
Fat chance, right??
PS: Id LIKE to take this further MUCH further but this place is already too far gone to even get the two listed above.

Chicago, election night
Thomas Lifson
Waitress Tina W. (last name withheld) tells us she was working the late shift at a bar in Chicago Tuesday night, and served a group of 6 African-American males. Here is what was left for her as a tip, as the party exited the establishment... Tip of the day

Yesterday I had a sort of unpleasant experience.
I walked into a nearby cafe where I sometimes go and this black waitress starting complaining loudly for me to hear that I never tippped and I left without ordering anything. This morning I went and she didn’t say a single freaking word to me as she served me. Serious attitude problem.
Yep. And now we have wrecked the status quo. In the past, someone of McCain’s caliber would have elected if not easily, at least it would have been done by recognizing his tireless service to his country.
His being elected would have been a capstone in a long and distinguished career.
It’s only gonna get uglier.
You are correct. The "race" issue was just like the "Feminist" issue, and the "gay" marriage issue - fommenting division and class warfare and turmoil to divide and conquer our society. Now that they have one of their own in the highest office and fellow travelers controlling the Congress they have no need to abandon their successful strategy of turmoil and fear. You will see Black Panthers and other thugs openly trampling on the rights of whites and bullying society in general.
Turmoil and unhappiness are their forte. It is what they need in order to have a victim class to champion. To accomplish this they need more force than before so they create Obama's "Domestic Security Force as large as our military." That will be his large cadre of thugs and enforcers. Eventually, society will rebel and they will need to build walls to keep people in, just like in Berlin, and use other forceful means as in Russia, China, Cuba, etc., to keep the rest of us here.
It is in their playbook for all to read. Some of us read it and believed it, others read it and did not believe it was possible and still others said, "Huh? What are you talking about?"
First of all, it wasn’t us who wrecked the status quo. And I for one was not entirely pleased with the status quo so changes were definitely in order.
We have to face up that McCain was not the best candidate but we had to rally around him anyhow. And now, looking for a scapegoat, they are blaming Gov. Sarah Palin for the loss.
But it is the party that abandoned us. We didn’t wreck the status quo. America rebuked the status quo. Now we can start replacing those rogue politicians with what we want, rather than what the party wants.
