McCain staffers have ALWAYS been a$$es, the have kept him cut off from the people of Arizona and are responsible for some of the stupid decisions he has made. I am firmly convinced they are democrats.
Her father was a science teacher and coach. Her mother was a school secretary. Maybe geography wasn't a big topic of discussion at home. I have encountered lots of otherwise intelligent people who are astonishingly uninformed concerning geography, although usually they are younger than Palin. (Geography doesn't seem to be taught very much in schools any more.) Lots of people have no clue that Africa is not one country, but comprises more than 50 countries. Of course none of them should hold a national elected office.
